That's kind of what I thought, though I'd assume it's a lot of repeat play of past podcasts and other audio interviews? Still, it's an interesting concept. I wish 'em the best of luck. :)

Interesting.  How long will it last is certainly a valid question.  Also, how much of this information is going to be 'canon' and how much will simply be opinionated?  Allow me to form my own opinions and conclusions, please.

But why isn't this thread filed under the Pantheon forums instead of News & Features?

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

Because Suzie and the gang ran a feature on it I think.

I like the idea, specifically if they take the time to air out the common opinions of the players.  Wise devs can leverage that to help inform themselves on what the players are interested in/have issues with most.

It will last just fine. They will fill most of the air time with music and have schedules for shows and repeats daily just like avatar radio and radio free Britannia and all other fan based radio stations

I took the 24/7 to mean that any time something important or new came out, they would cover it, any time of the day, any day of the week .. not that they were going to fill this radio with pointless Pantheon chatter, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A radio station for a MMO that is basically vaporware?  People have a bit too much time on their hands.

Well, we'll see. I hope it does last but at the moment there's not a lot of info for them to really broadcast other than what has already gone before, Also, I do see they are asking for donations so if those don't come in does that affect the project?

Given what we've seen, it's really not vaporware. If you are going to spread misinformation at least do it well.

There are multiple gameplay videos available that show environments, different skills/roles, and responsive mobs.  Maybe the project will fold, but I'd hardly call it vaporware at this point.

The game has been in development for how many years?  We've seen environments, videos and all that jazz from lots of games that never make it.

No disagreement from me there, but until progress stops and no cancellation announcement is given, I wouldn't qualify it as vaporware.  It's not appropriate to use the term for a project that merely fails to make release.  At least, not in the traditional definition of the term.

Fair enough but don't forget EQ3 had gameplay videos, enviornments, etc. How did that land?

Ok but with that logic all games are suspect. Like every one. And that's just as silly as it can get.

Until something "suspect" happens I think it's ok to assume that development is ongoing, especially when the Pantheon devs share information.

What's suspect? Well, like the current remake of system Shock where the developers exceeded their kickstarter. And they shared their work, and then they started doing other things and then suddenly the head of the company writes and apologizes that they were moving away from "System Shock" and started just making their own game but now realized their mistake so have put the team on "hiatus" until they can reassess and get themselves back on track.

Feel free to read into that what you will. It's THAT stuff that begs to be questioned.

That doesn't make it vaporware. It makes it a failed project. This project is taking the normal number of years for a studio, especially an indie studio on that budget. Ten years from now if they still can't nail down a beta date, then play the vaporware card. Look how long DNF took. Is that still vaporware. People throw around words like they're saying something.
Yea, my point was that vaporware traditionally required that the producer stops showing progress updates for the product without announcing any cancellation of said product.

There's literally no way to synergize the 1999 CMS backbone of the site with the forums. We're lucky we get the import of the title and the first paragraph. ;)

I think people forget that most MMOs before 2010 were not spoken of until a year or two at most before release. We didn't know until after they were out when development started. In this era of instant gratification, people think MMOs can be made in a couple years as they believed them to be in years gone by.

Hell, even some Devs these days "think" it can be done.

You guys need a major revision (read: complete rebuild).  Invest in a hammer to whack things about, a developer who will listen to what you say, a clear mind to think of lay out what you really need, and a supply of adult beverages for the inevitable party.
