Oh now thats a good one. the number one reason to declare a war and to kill someone: he said something mean waahhhh! RF Online has a better solution, a report feature.
in RF Online, you will see pvp as soon as you see a small group gathering. In Lineage 2, you will only see pvp in Castle sieges, and sometimes outside them. and only if your in a big guild/alliance. this is because people are too afraid to lose exp and items, and that problem doesn't happen in RF.
No thanks, You can stick to your fights about people calling each other noob, and assisting alliances which hardly have any effect on yourself. I'll stick to a real war enviroment.
You mean computer generated pvp goal which will never ever change.
That's not real at all.
And no trash talk was just one example, there are many other things. Oh yeah I thought in RFO the story background of the reason of war is to try control the mines in the middle?
Well in L2, peoeple do fight over raid boss, leveling ground etc. So you see? What's the difference? Difference is, you are the one really fight for no reason, and it will never ever change for you. While L2, things change. A bunch of alliances who used to work together against a common enemy could go against each other months later. Big alliances raise and fall, history changes. Unlike RFO, nothing will ever change.

Trust me, that happens a LOT more in RFO then in Lineage 2. Sette desert. do I need to say more? loads of battles each day are being held there, sometimes the Bellato controll it, the other time the Accretia. there are fights between the 3 factions over ACE mobs, over pitbosses, over hunting spots THAT is war. its really not only about the Chip Wars, like you seem to think. and history changes? I have been in Lineage 2 as well, and I can assure you its really not THAT much that changes.
That's because you weren't involved in much lol...
There were many many different big alliances formed and raise, and fall. Things never go back... You must be a non factor on whatever server you played which is why you knew nothing.
lol it was attempting to destory your theory by writting 3 pages of "drama" history on the server I played in the past 2 years...
Well too many things to write...no point writting to a RFO fan.

actually, you just proved my point. you HAVE to be in a big alliance to get any fun out of Lineage 2, and RF Online simply doesn't require that, while still having all the good things.
Make no mistake, You won't hear me say Lineage 2 is a bad game and I'm far from a hater. I played it for over a year on diffrent servers. but imo, the faction vs faction theme in RF Online is a lot more fun the L2's FFA pvp.

sorry but i never saw more than like 5 people in the sette at one time. That place was so small that it wouldnt seem like it was worth fighting over anyway. The big reward for owning i......Getting to grind more!!!! yipppeee
I played for about two months, and i agree to some parts. One thing i did like in the game was the afk mining. Easy way to make money without wasting your leveling time. But they seriously dont think about their skills and how people power level to 30 just to be not one shotted and end up gimped.
Other than that .. it was an.. ok game. just not for me, i prefer pVe games with allot of depth, not a game with allot of "leet" players.
Log in the morning, guild has a group in Sette desert killing Turning coats to help level our low levels in guild. All going well, one Mau driver goes afk with no reason. All a sudden a big group of Accretians shows up and massacres our group, the afk drivers lost is mau lol. We come back later, get more xping done when a cora and one accretian shows up big fight between our group and them, more ennemy race shows with a few others of our races fighting them also. Must have lasted over 30 minutes. Chipwars starting most whent to fight again pvp. A bit later we reform parties in Anacaade to fight brutals a bunch of Coras wreeking avooc in that area. Alot of casualties on both sides, finaly got to wipe them out after a while. We decided to find a remote spot so we could level our guildies in peace to many Cora and Accretians in the areas, we were spending more time fighting them off than leveling lol. And Im on the Water server. And we get chipwars every 8 hours to add. I clock more PvP fights than I have ever clock in Lineage in my 2 years of playing L2.
And in RFO you dont need a reason to pvp you see an ennemy race thats reason enought to kill him hehe.

RF Online was released at least 2 years ago in Korea. L2 is a year older than RF Online, and it shows IMO. I didn't find it very appealing since it was one of the 8,000,000 fantasy based MMOs at the time. Also your screenshots do not convince me L2 has better graphics. Oh, yeah I loved the 2 faces and 3 hairstyles the game offered for customization also. RFO has what is considered poor customization for characters and the customization is still better. The leveling system in RFO is much more realized as well. In fact I can't think of many positive things to say about L2 over RFO, I suppose I could have found some if I were able to play it longer. I didn't bother past the trial month, getting killed by farmers started to get old.
You talk about the Cora but the Cora look like Girl Scouts compared to Dark Elves in that game. I guess that dosen't matter too much since EVERY SINGLE MMO that's popular has buxom women in skimpy armor or clothing.
There's no point in writing to an RFO fan? Then why are you writing on this forum then? Shoo troll, shoo! It's not like anyone is going to value your input enough that it will deter them from buying the game considering that this very site gave your game a 6.9 vs. a 7.6 for RFO. I guess L2 is just misunderstood. Oh look it got a crappy score for community, imagine that. Not that every person that plays L2 is a bad person or anything, but there were alot of people that ruined it for me when I tried it. There's a lot of cool people I have talked to here and abroad that play that are awesome people. Too bad I didn't run into them while playing the game. Another L2 player was on the RF forum awhile ago and instead of trolling he had constructive things to say and made an honest effort to construct an opinion motivated towards making the game better. He even tried the game out for an extended period of time. I am guessing you didn't.
This is probably a waste of energy just as your posts of screenies are a waste of forum space. Have you ever heard of a hyperlink?

Yeah I am going to have to say that RF is identical to L2 and I enjoy L2 more. But thats just my personal opinion wether you care to hear it or not is up to you. I didn't like RF Online that much. I will just stick to L2, RO, AO, MxO, and SWG.
After seeing and elf in RF, I just assumed ti was the same company that made L2, or at least a company that bought graphics aengine and some content from L2. Not the best way to go IMO, becuase it takes away a portion of "uniqueness". So if RF cloned/stole elf models from L2, thats not very nice, thats actually very lame. Did devs comment on that yet? Any official statements?
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.
i want to go to the rf dev chat on xfire and see how it goes, i am sure its going to be brought up lol oh well i feel bad for the flaming that will take place in the dev chat
Wow the developers are stealing models now, what next?
Look, the elf models look like your standard anime elf. They even look like WoW elves to some degree. There's only so many ways you can make an elf look. What is interesting is whenever one of these bash threads start up, it's always the same 5 trolls.

Heh, you are 2nd person who says that... Not trying to put you down or anything, but have you seen a real elf in life? WoW elves arent actually that bad, I find them just slightly different then the classic interpretation (if such thing exist) of the elf.
In any case, I've checked screenshots for both games, and must admin, they differ just enough to credit any similiraties to the same design style.

The D&D elf in the PnP game (before 3rd edition) was borrowed from the Tolkien elf to a degree. In fact the Orcs and Goblins were also borrowed from Tolkien's fantasy. I think alot of old RPers expect elves to look like the D&D elf because it is what they are used to. I personally like the towering but slender elf from the Tolkien books myself. However, I enjoy other creative interpretations of the Elf figure and other creatures as well. Who wants to see the same old Elf or Orc?
