I will admit the game does look interesting. My experience isn't the best with it though. Lets see patching took forever, although for the first day this is to be expected especially from a small developer.
The installation process felt funny too. Just sit and wait like progress quest it seems after done downloading.
So I got my account setup a long time before I stated the game up. The login took longer then any should with no progress bar, till it eventually went to a screen with one progress bar. Showing what I think was a planet or something didn't get to see much, it took a long time to load, I went to Firefox and looked elsewhere.
Game starts up, I find the chat box and type test... Start to mess around with the controls and notice nobody is around me, then about 2 minutes later a few people pop "inside of me" then after that 5 minutes probably have gone by and the test message pops up in the chat window.
No real audio guide(music or otherwise), no tutorial it seems at all(didn't expect one either). Then it crashes. So at the moment seems buggy, and laggy. This may change who knows, but it is 5 am EST when I tried playing and that should be one of the lower points of online time
Graphics are kind of funky too. I know they are supposed to be the cel-shaded stuff, but they still look a bit unfinished.
For stills work the art could be used to make interesting comic book panels I think though.

It means "What Ever" LOL..sorry cant stop laughing. I figured with your count you'd be familiar with it, but then again you broke the first rule of a Beta NDA which is NOT letting people know you are in a beta.
Not to sound mean but I hope they trace your IP to your beta account and wipe it to teach you to read NDA's.
What? Whats an NDA you ask? It's a "Non Disclosure Agreement"

We always have been cleared on a point: the release state will not be as clean and full of features as we would love too. Believe me that brakes our hearts to be obliged to release now, but we have no choice. We will continue to work on Seed every day after the release.
Everybody agrees on the potential of Seed (and I'm the first Seed fan, believe me), what we need now is to show to our investors that this game is financially a good move too. And that's where we will need your support. So if you like Seed and have a few money to "invest", you know how you can help this great game to be.
Servers have been up for days in the past, so those crashes are due to new bugs, just the time for the devs to find it and things will be much better
We believe in this game and will do all the efforts to make it great. We have to release it so we do it, but the release will not mean the end of the development.
We would love to show you all the potential of Seed right now but the lag issues prevent us to, please be patient and give us a chance as so far you didn't loose any money or anything else, this is all about trust

There is one problem here, there is no NDA for the Seed beta. So not to sound mean but you really should have knowledge of what you are talking about before speaking. And just so you know I had no clue what w/e meant either.

"Beta" that is going live in a weeks time. Which is scary.
Sadly in the environment that mmorpgs are in, Seed is in for a rough ride. Few beta testers have even been able to log into the game let alone play it. Surely not planning for a predicted number of testers smacks of a lack of planning. It's not like they don't know how many people are trying to connect to their servers. It's the equivalent of organising a party for 10,000 people and only ordering food for 2,000.
I'm no network engineer, but surely stress tests and server loads can be simulated or throttled. I don't know the terms, like I said I'm no network engineer. It's pretty sad that Runestone are put in this position and the investors just can't see that it is a false economy to release too early.
Anyone on the free trial, if they can even log in, will tear the game apart to shreds. I cannot possibly imagine what reviews will be like from other sites or magazines.
It's just so frustrating, because I've seen it before and watching the same mistakes before made again and again, hearing the same "*£%ing excuses made again and again just make me think WTF is going on?
The days of launching games in this state must be over, mustn't they? One day the players will say enough is enough and not risk subscribing for the first 2 months (funny that the intro offer came in, isn't it?).
I respect Runestone for trying something different, but having a non-feature (no-combat) doesn't make it a feature. If that makes sense. Maybe it's my expectations, if Seed's release is delayed (which won't happen) then I'd say "great more time to test and get things right", but if I game like DnL which always seems to be delayed I'd say "I thought that game released and died already".
