Bless News - If you were hoping to pre-load Bless ahead of the head start on May 28th, you're out of luck. In a very brief Q&A on the Bless Facebook page, Neowiz revealed this information as well as announced there would be two regional server groups, one each in NA and EU with the exact number of servers being subject to change based on need.

Early Access games are subject to a whole lot of weird Steam rules. Pre-orders and Pre-loads being part of it.

That's always the case unfortunately even with triple a mmo titles
So what decides pre-loads? Some games do other don't, I always thought it was up to the developers. Otherwise it looks like a delaying tactic as it will take everyone longer to actually get into and play the game allowing for last min hype to make more sales before actual average player reviews start rolling in. Of course I'm jaded by what some game companies do, like they did with ME:A.

As Bill said , is because of Steam rules and has nothing to do with NeoWiz. Early Access is .. Early Access.
Official Launch however, is a different story.
That's pretty much business as usual for many mmo's on launch day. In some ways that's part of the fun.
I would say that if people have huge issues with lag, crowded areas, servers going down, etc, etc then DON'T play an mmo on launch day/week.

I'll retract that request. Appears to be a widely known fact about Steam EA, no hard rules to be found but I found some Dev convos about how Steam uses launch day figures to determine visibility and they may want all EA titles to start on even footing in this regard.

Blame Steam, has nothing to do with Bless or its people.
PS - All mammals have nipples.
Get over it already.
Yeah, Kyleran also suggested that but I'm wondering if that is more server side? Why would that be client side?

The only reason I can think of is waiting to see how sales go before they decide on cash shop prices. The higher the sales the more they can charge for stuff, perhaps.

Early Access is not a pre-purchase
Early Access is not meant to be a form of pre-purchase, but a tool to get your game in front of Steam users and gather feedback while finishing your game.
Early Access titles must deliver a playable game or usable software to the customer at the time of purchase, while pre-purchase games are delivered at a future date.

Q: Will Bless have 3 NA and 2 EU servers or channels? Is it 3 servers or 1 server with 3 channels for NA?
A: There will be two regions at the beginning of EA: NA and EU. The number of servers in each region is subject to change.

I feel bad for people who bought "headstart", but have slow internet and will probably take them 1-2 days to download the game... so much for the headstart lol.
like your holy cow mmo from bliz, one of the worst releases ever for paying customers, you genius.

I'm inclined to think its not a megaserver because the game is designed for regular servers - you are faction locked to one faction per server, and they also lock faction creation temporarily on each server when it gets too big to balance it out. Both of those things present problems when you have a megaserver, not to mention the OwPvP focused nature of endgame makes megaservers a bit weird.
I've also heard from other players that the backend does not support a megaserver structure.
It's possible any of the above has changed, however it's not likely. So I'd like to get a more clear answer on this. I think what they're probably saying is we're getting a regular server structure with 3 channels for NA and 2 for EU, but that if additional capacity was needed, they'd add more servers and not more channels. That's what most Korean MMO's do here in the West, is have a very small number of channels and limit it to that, but have standard server setups. However clarity is needed.
