Those that have played it on console already, do you recommend it for us PC players?
Yes. I love the game a lot. There's a large variety of items to grind out, there are quite a few missions, and the game itself is just fun to play. You have to be okay with slower placed methodical gameplay though, as you have to track down the monster, damage it, find it again if it runs away, trap it, things like that. It's a hunting game.
I would recommend it if the port is good.
It’s like dauntless ?
It's the filet mignon to Dauntless' beef jerky.
Very true, but there is also a time and a place for a beef jerky.
So what is the big issue with Denuvo? Other than it works far better than most DRM. I'm seriously asking, because some people avoid games with Denuvo at all costs, and I've never had an issue with one ever so I don't understand why other than a search brings up things like slightly degraded performance.
On general principle, the less running on my rig the better. Don't need another program phoning home and selling god knows what to god knows who.

Im actually kind of surprsied its THIS performance heavy ;o
- Already got it for my PS4 Pro, so won't be getting it for the PC - still considering that its 30FPS on high settings on a 1080p resolution is intense.
Of course, I mean, even at the "performance" setting on the PS4 pro the game still looks good, just less vegetation and lower poly count on some props from what I could tell the last time I check it.
Well if it is coming out on PC, I will deign to give it a look, is it any good?
Personally, I loved the game - Fights can be somewhat easy, atleast if you get used to the weapon you're using early on - but the fights are a lot of fun for sure.

If there is a version without denuvo then i'll get it, either that or i'll wait until denuvo has been cracked first, i don't have denuvo on my system and i have no intention of changing that.
In a weird way, this is indicative of how gaming has changed. Used to be that no game released anywhere around a WoW expansion arrival. Now with BfA coming less than a week after MHW...well, kinda says it all.
I know I can't wait.
Given the wildly different gameplay between the two i'm not that surprised. I don't see WoW's core demographic being into MH all that much.

Everyone in my rather large guild will be playing so...yeah, I think there's more crossover than you'd think.
30FPS... That was the only reason i was going to buy the game again on PC, the bump in framerate. I guess i'll stay on PS4 then. But still good news it is finally coming to PC. I can see a lot of happy people already. This game is so good.
It would be great if Capcom uses the same account system as Street Fighter 5 and allow cross platform like SF5 does with PC/PS4.
EDIT: i just saw a picture of the settings screen with 60fps option, i guess the framerate will be unlocked. Good news.
Just back from steam page . Holy $&$& this game high . This or wow expan . I think imma go with wow exp
I second the option. Played the game on ps4 and it bored me to death. As stated by a previous post, the combat feels odd. It feels clunky and without the ability to actually aim at the Monsters where aim is pretty much as important as the crafting system. Skipping this one as the game sits in my PSN library collecting dust. My one regret is that I purchased it day one digitally due to the hype and limiting my ability to trade this in for something solid at my local gamestop.
Edit: To compare the two games is simply impossible.

For some, anything that they add into a game, just ticks them off. For a few, they really have issues with it to where it crashes games.
Majority of people just never notice these type things unless it causes them issues. And others it is just like waving a flag...DRM .
As to if it actually matters...i think these things cause more issues to people that have no clue about pirating, and buy games, than it does to people that actually pirate games.
Never let these drm things stop me from playing games, and i bet that is the way majority of people are.

Dauntless ripped off almost every aspect of monster hunter, but monster hunter does it way more in depth. In dauntless you just run around or use the compass to find a monster, in MH you find clues that build up knowledge of where it is. Basically anything Dauntless did, MH did first and way better.

100%, I wasn't sure if I would really like the game when I got it for the ps4.. I loved it, ill get it on the PC to play with my pc friends now. Its just worth it. Learning curve can be steep after the first few hunts but stick it out.
How much of the game requires coop to complete, I don't mean a basic campaign pipeline. I mean out of the entire game.
I don't know from experience but from what I've read it is primarily a solo game, but grouping can help you farm materials faster. Enemies' HP scales in co-op but you can still take them out faster. But, apparently, there's situations where soloing is easier because you have more control over the fight or can retreat without annoying anyone else. When solo you have a companion, when duo you have two companions and with 4 players you have no companions. The whole game can be played solo so really the multiplayer aspect is just there for fun.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

The point of Monster Hunter is that you CAN pretty much solo everything, but if you want an extra challenge, you can bring people since they make the enemy harder [some of the more hardcore players bring extra people just to scale the Monster and make it harder for themselves].

And thats even putting it mildly. Same genre, completely different league and worth every penny.

Also, difficulty scale with party size. Solo is easier than coop although it is still a challenge.
