ok seems like there are people who at least understand what's being said, but if the mountain of gold thing doesn't sound logical, i understand, but gold as you know used to be the currency of the world, not just any small nation, but the world, everything's value was measured in gold, and gold is the best electrecity harvester.
but anyway, i'll mention some of the predictions the messenger and prophet of allah, mohammad (PBUH).
the prophet predicted that in the future ( which means our time ) people would be communicating with the creatures of the sea, like we are doing now with dolphins.
he also predicted that there's something that hangs around the side of the man that warns him of what's happenining in his house ( pagers, mobiles ).
in the Qur'an, there's a verse where it says that Allah would preserve the body of the Pharoa after he drowned in the red sea, where he chased the prophet mosus, one of the researchers who went to investigate actually found out that this particular pharoa died from drowning, and he was so excited he was telling the muslims around him about it, and that he is the pharoa of the time of mosus, the muslims smiled and they said they already knew that more than 1400 years ago, because Allah told the prophet mohammad what has happened in the past, and what people will uncover in the future, isn't this interesting?
the prophet also predicted about the many wars that are happening, and how muslims will staw away from their true way of life and worshipping allah, and instead they will follow their desires.
the prophet also predicted that the Qu'an will be forgotten, and when it's read, people will not follow it's teachings.
he also predicted that prostotution, adultery, murder and rape will be common among the people of his nation.
i can go on with more but i think this is enough, as you can see all of the predictions have happened, or are currently happening, now for a man more than 1400 years ago to predict that things like these will happen, and are happening/happened, don't you think that this man is realy a prophet of God ?
now the signs has been shown to you, it's up to you to look further and seek the truth, or ignore this and move with your way, and be one of the losers, and as allah said in the Qur'an, besmellah al rahman al raheem, and whatever saw show them from our signs, they don't believe, those are the ones which allah has sealed their hearts and visions, and those are amongst the losers. sadaqa allah al atheem.
the verse means that some people will be shown the signs of the truth, but they will still don't listen, and they won't listen, because allah has put a seal on their hearts and eyes, they don't see and won't hear, because THEY themselves don't want to see nor hear.
What terrifies me is this is an example of how people use religion to their own hateful causes.
It doesn't terrify me, but it certainly disturbs me that people are so willing to go on the air with their opinions taped across God's mouth and utter them as his and to condemn the grieving people at a funeral. That is improper. That is pitiful.
This is what literal interpretation of the Bible can lead to.
This is what the literal interpretation of the Bible can lead to:
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
Live in harmony with one another.
Honor one another above yourselves.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Ask yourself how many of these she kept and how many she did not. Then judge the Bible and judge Christianity. Even ask yourself how many of these Hannity kept (a professed Christian as well).
I do not keep all these, myself, and for that I apologize if I ever offend any of you. I do believe that God despises the sin that goes on in any nation. I try not to give my opinion as God's though. Laughing in someone's face when their atheist daughter or son dies and saying smugly that God's judgment was dealt well is not my idea of reproof or help. First of all, you had better review that claim of divine judgment unless you find yourself under it.
It required 1. guts to get on that show, 2. adamant faith, or 3. thoughtlessness. Maybe she had a little of each.

I think it didn't take anything for her to go on that show. I think she's egged on by what she sees in this country and around the world.
On the one hand everyone says she's crazy, wrong, and thoughtless, but do you know where this group got started from? Their big beginning was protesting Matthew Shepard's death. A gay man who was violently killed. They have a website named www.godhatesfags.com.
How can people say she's crazy when I can sit at work and hear gay joke after gay joke and nobody doing a thing about it? I can sit at work and hear of people passed over for job promotions because a group of managers decided that persons accent sounded gay. I can hear people people every day demonize gays on the radio and nobody stops them or challenges them. I can see people deny a group of American citizens their civil rights, yet you hear protests against them when they bring up the issue.
Then it leads to this. Suprised???? I'm not. And what else do you think this could lead to? Just look at some of the posts on some of the threads on this monitored forum. Now think of what you hear in unmonitored areas when people are free to speak their minds without repercussion. I know we've all heard it.
People are scary. They use self-rightous religion based beliefs to justify their hatred. And it's happened all throughout history, but we never learn our lesson. We just keep right on doing it. And just like a good shock jock radio host can bring in the listeners, a good shock based religion can bring in it's followers. Especially when it can be intepreted to justify their hatred towards another group.
And as far as Sean Hannity goes, he needs to go look in the mirror. I've read so many articles about how he is related to hate groups and has used them to catapult himself into his fame. Here is one, just an example. Hannity's Soul-Mate of Hate
And I'm sorry if what I wrote offends anyone. But it makes me sick to hear the things people say and then wonder why stuff like this goes on or SUDDENLY feel the urge to stand up against it. Why, because now they're against something you believe in? Why weren't you against them when they were attacking your fellow man? Gee, I wonder... Do you think that little racist or exclusionary remark just flies off into the ether never to be of any influence? No, every action you take on this planet effects something. Even the little private ones.
I can see people deny a group of American citizens their civil rights, yet you hear protests against them when they bring up the issue.
Actually, I'd say to let gays have their right to marriage. Don't get me wrong - I'm still against it. However, as far as I can see God has told people what to do and then allowed them to do whatever they wanted based on that information. Look at the Biblical stories.
Adam & Eve - warned them but allowed them freedom of choice. They chose.
Cain & Abel - were told to make animal sacrifices. For whatever reason - maybe Cain thought it was animal cruelty - he did not sacrifice an animal. Well, murder ensued.
God would be Israel's king, but they wanted a king like the other nations so they got one - Saul.
So as far as I'm concerned it's no big deal to me. Let them have marriage. If everything turns out fine, then great. I'm wrong - they're right. No biggie. If my concerns are fulfilled and diseases are propagated or created and psychological disorders result and so on, then... it obviously didn't matter what I said anyway.

I love the conclusion of that. "Approving same-sex relationships is detrimental to employers, employees and society in general." ...BS.
I think heterosexuals also get AIDS, correct me of i'm wrong. So why attack gays for getting it too?
Why not attack cigarette companies and alcohol companies? Imagine for a few seconds that you are gay. I don't know if you believe that homosexuals are born that way or if it's something they learn later in life. But I think mostly everyone who has a heart can conclude that they don't choose it. But, just for a few seconds imagine your one of them.
How would it feel growing up? You're confused. You don't understand why something that feels so natural to you brings hatred towards you. So, you learn to hide it. Then you learn that the church says God hates you, and that your type isn't welcome in church. You have to hear the jokes at school. You wonder how this happened to you. And this is where the guilt and discontent begin.
Then you grow up. You may decide to come out, you may not. But either way, what do you have to look forward to in life? You're put down by politicians, priests, and tons of other people that judge you as second class or even lower. You're told that your love doesn't count. That your love is dirty. That your love causes disease. That your condition is a disease upon society. You see other gays discriminated against and scorned. You see violence against them. You hear the comments. No matter where you go you hear them every day. From all over the place. At work, at the gym, at the university, even your neighbors. You wonder what's going to happen to you and your future. You wonder what's going to happen to you when you die. And you wonder why sometime, either before birth or before you even knew what was going on around you, you ended up on this track. You wonder if God even listens to you anymore.
Would you have self-esteem issues? Would you feel hopeless? Would you feel like trying? Would you turn to drugs? Alcohol? Would you wonder who your friends are? Maybe your family has even turned on you? Would you wonder who was lying to you and who was telling the truth? Would you question religion? Would you even care about religion anymore? Would you care if you died tomorrow? Would you somehow subconsciously try to bring death quicker? Would you get angry? Would you be scared? Who would you trust, or would you just quit trying to trust anyone? Would you be able to love another person? Or would you just see sex as just sex and be promiscuous?
My point is, maybe society is the problem. What would happen instead if society truly did act with love and compassion? Instead of acting with self-rightousness and judgement, what if you let them make their own decisions about life and respected them for it. How would they live their lives then? How would they live if they didn't feel so hated? What kind of life would they really choose then?

You're asking people to empathize. That's supposed to be the hardest characteristic to learn as a human.
The hardest, yet I think the noblest and most promising to our survival.

no, hes asking people to accept. empathy is education, to understand the situation, not to accept what the person has decided to do.
Really? I missed that. Where did he say accept them anywhere in that? I didn't read it that way at all. I read respect them and consider where they're coming from. I think you interpreted what he wrote with some self-serving blinders on.
People still saying their church is better than the others and that we have the right interpretation and all the others are wrong.
Does anyone really know what to believe anymore? Somewhere amidst the turmoil of influences like what part of the world you were born in, what church/religion your parents exposed you to when you were little, and what your personal biases block out or let you see - there are still people bold enough to declare that they're right and others are wrong?
The Catholic Church is even warning the neo-cons that their literal interpretations of the Bible are going to get them in trouble. But they aren't listening. They've got a holy war to fight. Sometimes I wonder if there are some people just trying to speed up the timetable of our destruction.

Hate groups like this are always going to exist until we give up these mythological beliefs and start taking care of each other.
People taking care of each other, FTW. Human nature, FTL.
We're all going down the drain. And when the next civilization comes along, I hope they learn from our mistakes.
I hate to admit it, but I don't see anything good happening from any of this. We've got two of the largest religions in the world fighting with each other. And they both have their God on their side. How can any good come from that? What, are the christians going to accept the muslims? Are the muslims going to accept the christians?
And then there are us innocents standing on the side line telling both groups to STFU.
Bleh, I'm sick of both of your groups. Maybe blowing up each other is best.

Catholic Church no longer swears by truth of the Bible
Hate groups like this are always going to exist until we give up these mythological beliefs and start taking care of each other.

It all seems so stupid
It makes me want to give up
But why should I give up
When it all seems so stupid

We're all going down the drain. And when the next civilization comes along, I hope they learn from our mistakes.
I hate to admit it, but I don't see anything good happening from any of this. We've got two of the largest religions in the world fighting with each other. And they both have their God on their side. How can any good come from that? What, are the christians going to accept the muslims? Are the muslims going to accept the christians?
And then there are us innocents standing on the side line telling both groups to STFU.
Bleh, I'm sick of both of your groups. Maybe blowing up each other is best.
