Aloha Mr Hand !
Yep! Tool’s new album is the soundtrack.
Something which was impossible as per some internet "expert": "Too much assets, ships are too big, station, moons... this is vaporware, jpges" they said...
50 guys in + 25 ships (many of differrents shape) warping to a location, landing and fighting on air and land. Damned already in 3.2 without even performance network implemented yet...
Damned who can we trust if even scam prophecy fall apart
I would gladly try this game when is fully completed though.
No no no, don't get your hopes up, the prophecy is still alive, for it was foretold, the creator is the mastermind of illusions, do not trust anything he shows or promises! Once we see 2,000 ships (players) flying at the same time all over space, in planets and outside! Only then will the prophecy be proven false. Let me remind you, the master of illusions has crafted many illusions on stage to capture the simple minded and steal their gold! Do not be pleased until you got the things which were promised at first! Were you promised a party of fifty people on 25 ships after 7+ years???!! Is this the dream that we all craved??!! ! Do not shame us in your satisfaction!!! The prophecy is alive!! And your comments shall not pass freely through this realm of bitterness and hope.

"When the crux of your marketing plan is to get people to pay you for their own imagination, the last thing you want to do is lock down features and ground things in reality. CR promised anything and everything as a feature in SC so not to limits peoples' idealized vision of the completed game. Then they simply pump out some concept images, a bit of lore text and ships (literally pictures of ships, mind you) and people start paying for how they imagine the ship will operate in the version of the game that's in their head, since only about 1/10th game exists in real life at the moment. If features were locked and we could see prototype builds, the reality of the game-play systems may not match up with what people envisioned and they'd probably pass on a lot of ships. Until all of the core features are in the game, selling people back their own imagination is the only way CiG can fund development."
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
Because you seem to be implying it's a large chunk of 500 employees to restrain the game development itself lol. Now you got me curious :P
However, I'll be here when it all comes crashing down. I've never been the type of person to say, "I told you so!", but for SC, I'll break my rule.

They have over 1100 videos on their official account, which is about 4 videos a week and anywhere between 500-750 hours worth of video, so yeah a lot of man hours have gone into producing that.
Edit: @MaxBacon
Would it be possible for you to use the spoiler tags when linking lots of video and images, it makes it quite difficult when browsing on mobile.
CR can always find ways to dawdle and preen for the camera. Actually if they could find a way to get him to do nothing but videos, it would probably help the game production immensely. Though even he can't keep 500 developers from creeping ahead, no matter how much he tries.
Oh, and talking to my dev friends, they say convention prep usually cuts a month or two of work from them.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
Also the spoilers from what I've noticed on mobile they load the contents anyway, something derpy with the software they're using.
The backers not only want it, they actually pay for it with subscriptions, they just proposed doing it, the stretch goals were met, people support it, hence it happens, rather simple there.
The convention preparations have become optimized over the years, see this year they won't do Gamescom and will do Citizencon by syncing the release of Alpha 3.3 with it, so the benefit on completing the update already gives part of the content the convention will showcase.
How does any of that change what I said? You claimed that the videos were short which was not the case until recently and you also claimed they took very little time to produce, do you know that for a fact?
Do you know how many minutes of footage they record on average to produce a 30 minute video or are you just making unsubstantiated claims?
It doesn't matter if the people are doing their jobs, that is completely unrelated to the point you were trying to make...
Hence why response, they have their community managers and video editor that are dedicated to that, that alone defeats his point, it's not the developers of the game creating the video content, it's the people who are not developers, the thing about how SC does this updates is that they just go to a dev and gather footage of what they're working on, sometimes put them a few minutes on camera talking about it and that's, you have a 101 ATV. Who produces the videos could take several days to produce one ATV video, it wouldn't be of relevance in the development picture, that is one argument you could do with the game conferences but not with video content as this.
Man Star Citizen has never been intented to be EVE 2.0. It was specified since dya one it won't have a thousand ships in one instance. If you expect to play EVE... just go play it. Star Citizen is different and that's why +700.000 backers support it.
Oh really? It was meant to be an instanced game?

Either it will be the biggest and best space game, or the biggest fail and dissapointment in the genre.
