My body is ready but I don't think my traveling man set up is. Here I'm thinking with this GTX 1080 sitting in this external rig I get the best of both worlds but my processor ain't awesome enough to run the game reasonably.

If I see one more complaint about "forced grouping" on an mmo site I think I'm going to lose my mind.....pretty soon y'all will be like "forced gameplay, I'm out" .....
The also force you to switch your PC on to play, its a total nightmare.
well, the majority these days prefer watching other people play video games. casual friendly !
Humour aside, it does worry me that gaming is becoming like sports, but not in a good way. Having LoL sport like contests is a mixed bag, but people watching games rather than playing them is bonkers. Armchair sportsmen watch but don't play, now we have armchair gamesman. What they are watching is not in a stadium in a city in another country. They can play it from their own homes!
The first real Monster Hunter game on PC since its inception and they half assed the PC release.
Typical.
Now I can only guess as to how fast the community will fix their failures. Minutes? Hours? Days? By Durante? Kaldaien? Someone else? Either way, it -will- be fixed, it's too big of a release not to be.
Still, justifying a $60 port of a 7 month old game with problems is too hard of a sell for me.. but if we don't play on release, we'll miss out on a huge portion of the multiplayer community.

Ugh, what a dilemma.
A problematic port to PC and it uses Denuvo, it made the decision not to buy the game pretty easy tbh. Have to wonder how many problems with the game would miraculously disappear if Denuvo was removed.

I noticed a comment in the Massively review which said a total of 3 deaths between all party members fails the mission.
Playing with random others could become unpleasant very quickly especially after a death or too.
As it appears playing solo is not really a good idea, especially at upper levels it probably is a game to avoid unless you are sure you can deal with the usual asshattery of grouping with others in online games. (Or have a strong circle of friends)

Watching all these posts, one thing comes to mind, many bought the console version already, so why should previous purchasers have to shell out more money for a PC version? At least Microsoft is allowing buy once, play anywhere now. I think more of these publishers should do this.
A step learning curve is a Con? Ok you can't jump in and do the entire game without having to read something? That's a steep learning curve these days? Its not Dark Souls.
Despite wishing it was a dog ;p, the cat is super helpful. The one incident that sticks out in my mind is when I took a knockdown/stun, and the cat thwacked me in the head with his mallet and took me out of the stun early. That plus they really do like to aggro the monster when you seem to be indisposed, like repositioning or regaining health.
Pretty useful companion, other games should take note.
I played the single player MHO many years ago....After about a week I was bored....I watched the videos for this one on youtube, and to me it looks like the same old boring gameplay just with better graphics.

I've played a bunch of games, mostly bad ones, at least for me tho, people often ask me if a game I played was good or not, I give my opinion, but in all honest I always say: "Try it yourself, what is not fun for me may be fun for you..."
If one don't make an effort to try something, how the hell one will know if it's fun or not, right?
I wanted to try this game, but my machine is too old for it, and I can't afford a new one, or at least, upgrade parts right now, the dollar on my country is hella expensive and the prices are insane.
The console version is such a good game and I've heard mix things about the PC version. I was really looking forward to this game and I hope any PC issues will be fixed as I think the concept and gameplay (from the console version) shows this can be a great game.
None of those cons are cons for a game that was designed as a multiplayer game. There are some real issues like the keyboard issues with the radial wheel. It takes to long in combat to switch from one thing to another and on missions with random people you most likely are going to die which if they do the same you can count on failing. You need to be able to switch things up on the fly. That is probably the biggest issue with this game today. And no it shouldn't be looked at like a beta, they had a full 7 months to work out kinks for the PC release. This is full release, yeah they have been patching away but they get horrible marks for the way they ported the game over and released it in that state. Capcom is one of the worst when it comes to ports hands down.
And have yet to actually test the game under multi-threaded CPU usage, but ill be doing that later tonight to see if Denuvo effects the actual game-play as it does in some other games.

thats what is nice about console. never have to worry about being able to run a game for the system you bought it for.

Those are the 3 things folks on this site accuse MMORPGs of doing to ruin them, this game sounds better and better.
