ok i know everyone is going to just flame me for this but its just a waste of your time because ive already heard everything you are going to say

I know it was postponed and all and that SOG wasnt up to everyones expectations BUT

they just released the skill tree and crafting guide and new screenshots and this game looks worth looking back into just take a look at the website and check it out.

from my point of view this game takes a lot of the better parts of other games and puts them into this game plus some new ideas

idk but the idea sounds sweet and i personally am looking foreward to the release which i am not all to mad about being postponed because i would rather that they release a solid game then for them to rush and have a game which looks as though it was thrown together

I wasn't in SOG, so I don't have firsthand knowledge of how bad it was. I still think DnL has great potential. and I will probably try it out. But not before they put out an open beta or a free trial of it. I'm not going to blindly throw $40 at them after hearing so many negative things about it.

i think dark and light is going to out just like mourning did. they will be plaque with a ton of setbacks. eventually they will get close in running out of money, then release an unfinished game for people to play. then people will think of it as a scam then all will leave.

Well obviously, I will be there as well.

To me in this MMORPG era, I like taking big risks on games now, cause I am like that.

I told myself Auto Assault is a waste of time, what do you, I enjoy it. Heh, I still can't

believe it.

So I won't be quick to judge MMORPG anymore untill I try the product myself.

However any game released by SOE

You can bet, I won't be there!

I really don't think you need to feel that bad B0rderline, by all means you should try it out when (if) it's released. I'm a firm believer that with just about any game and any development situation, each player has to make up their own mind on whether they will play/support a certain project. A smart person listen's to both sides of the story, then makes their own conclusion.

As for myself, I could really care less about DnL, whether it's realeased and whether it's good or not. About the only thing that I hope when it comes to DnL is that it does not dissapoint it's fans, I truly hope the very best for them.

But I cannot justify or support, in good conscience, an MMO company (NP3, Farlan) that treats it's community with such impunity and with such amazing dissrespect. It could be the all time best MMO ever made and I'd never touch it for that reason alone.

But that's just me.

Sinking ship? A little wrong put. That would be current SWG. Is SWG dead anyway? No. People still play it even though it's run by SOE, the MMORPG Mafia.

However Farlan acts they are not the worst, however the game turns out it's not gonna be completely empty from people.

Same. Although, I am still going to check it out whenever it comes out. Don't count on it being May 30th, either, at least not with all the features that was supposed to be in the game.

If I happen to like what I see when it come out, I will hate myself for playing and paying a subscription fee to Farlan/NP3. We HATEs it.

If they put out a free trial that doesn't require a CC? I'll try it.
Otherwise I'm staying away from it. Normally I don't mind free trials that do require CC but I don't trust D&L... no way am I giving 'em my CC info unless I'm 100% sure I like the game. Cause chances are if they get it I'll be "Accidentally charged" for some reason or other. And by the time I get the charge refunded/reversed they'll have already earned interest off it.

The game is so bad that 99% of the beta testers don't even play it anymore. It will take years to make this into a half decent game. And yet some people think that all the problems will be magically fixed in the next month? Talk about living in a fantasy world.

What you have played is not DnL it's SOG, it's a version completly without any content. Play the full game untill you criticise it!

And im not forcing you to play it, just hate when people trying to brainwash those who acually is looking forward to it.

"Live in a fantasy world"? No, reality. You are also waiting for DNL, since otherwise I see no logical reason for you to sit here. Trusting in this game ... or any game before release is always risky and could hurt you if it turns out bad. So better expect the worst right?

I don't think you really got it when I said I believe neither about this game, WAIT and SEE. That's what I, and everyone should do.

Doesn't this sound awfully familiar? This line of reasoning has been going on for YEARS! What has been the result so far? SOG.

Has anyone provided a lucid, valid reason why on EARTH any developer would release SOG, "it's a version completely without any content" as a prelude to the 'forthcoming' (*cough*) MMORPG?

Great ideas mean absolutely zip without implementation. Go ask Horizons.

For any potential players who have never heard of DnL before, at least check out the DnL forum to get an understanding of the 'developments' (I managed to type that with a straight face) so far.

I've publically staked my colours on this particular mast and lost interest in the game a year to 9 months ago. For any future affadavit, I agree with Shae 100%.

I'm actually surprised anyone outside the DnL forum - whether on MMORPG.com or the official forum - bothered to post about this title. The vast majority expressed 'meh' when SOG was released.
