MMORPG with the most players

So which is it ?

I seen a nice graph one time that clearly stated how many players each major mmorpg had, but now I can't figure out what site its from. I'm pretty sure EQ has one of the largest player bases, but I'm looking for one thats the quickest growing. (Maybe FFXI ?)

    no, the one with most players is hand down, Lineage.

    EQ doesn't even come close to it.

    That chart said EQ had like 500k ppl, lineage has over a mil right now, and it's had like 3-4mil at it's height.  it's just that lineage wasn't popular in the west.

    yep lineage definitely wins in the most players category... not sure how much they have now but earlier this year they had over 4 million subscribers.

    nope, its korean and its 25US dollars a month in korea with like 4 million people playing it.  But Lineage2's graphics are verry nice, better than FFXI IMO.

    No, EQ is definitely misconstrued as the largest MMRPG. Maybe in the US it is. But there are probably about 4 or so korean/asian based games that beat it by far. Very odd, because the east actually has more MMRPG's, and more players, when the game seems rather outdates.

    no, much older, it's like somewhere between 7-8 years old from what I read before in a korean newspaper.

    Lineage in game mode is about 5 years now. The oldest still running MMORPG's are between Meridian 59/The Realm Online I think. Main reason these games still exsist is because the producers understand that to truly make a lasting game you need game play not graphics.
