Twitch is for THOTS and hipocrisy thats it! If ur a game streamer u be hard pressed to get up there properly i mean look at Alinity she chucked her cat blatantly and tried to pass it off as placing him gently behind her and also let it taste vodka from her mouth no ban.... Blondie Wondie doing a live stream while driving went over the speed limit cops pulled her over no ban a guy named Knut had done a live stream while driving put his streaming device in his lap and got banned for reckless driving for 7 days by twitch (whether he was or not remains to be seen)....
The site is a joke those thots must be sucking off Jeff Bezos or something along those lines to stay on the platform..... i wouldnt be surprised if Twitch gets taken down because some stupid crap will happen like someone committing a nefarious deed!

Well its not fact persay (do you have fact to prove otherwise?) but i can have a good guess out of all the LIVE viewers watching the majority of them are watching twitch thots since they make up the majority (in terms of "content" creators) of twitch now..... its probably one of the reasons why ninja is moving platform. the only thing I watch on twitch is warframe devstream because i find the site very toxic because of its apparent lack of set rules for ALL and not "some for u some for them and some for the elite mind set".
The policing on the site is very lax when it comes to a certain group because the "horny"/"thirsty" guys that are watching them are paying through the eye of the needle in bits/straight dono's (its why they have their own set of rules because they bring in the money) its ludicrous... its fact the site isnt what it used to be it was originally set up for game streamers not this "REAL LIFE bull crap
I'm so glad I have no idea who this kid is and nor do I care. Skipping over the YouTube/Twitch sensation has been one of the smartest decisions I've made. I'll stick to playing games instead of watching other people play them.

The sad thing is how companies now measure the success of their games on how many people watch a stream instead of how good the game is to make people want to play it.
Seriously, am I alone in the "games are to be played not watched" camp? The fact is half the wannabe streamers cant play anything worth shyte yet they get tons of supposed followers because "they're zany personalities" that would get ppl walking on the other side of the street to avoid them in the real world.
I can see a use for streaming as a hype builder for upcoming games, but I'd rather see the devs play it and get a true sense of the product then some putz in a beenie surrounded by green screen singing its praises as he flexes on worse players.
Pantheon is a great example of what I see twitch being useful for...building hype and answering questions for an indie niche mmorpg that wont cater to everyone, and in fact will cater to very few tastewise (but they wont come right out and say who exactly they're catering to because if it's not you they still want your pre-purchase dollars). But, they ruin it with the Elmo of twitch, cohhcarnage, the king of fake shockface and cringy commentary being their pet pro streamer.
I wont even get started on tabletop rpg streams and "DM to the stars" hyperbole.

You're not alone. You just don't enjoy something that millions of other people enjoy. Your opinion definitely doesn't make you superior to anyone that enjoys it or the streamers themselves. I mean, you are typing in an MMORPG forum complaining about streamers and the people that watch them.

You're really hung up on this whole "horny guys" thing. If that's your thing they have websites for that too. No judgement.
If you had the choice of making millions playing a game or going to work everyday busting your butt / body for less than 1/10th of that income what would you choose? I dont care how people make money as long as they are paying their taxes and not cheating the system. I do think its insane that people can make that kinda money streaming, but companies must be making a ton of the advertising....Its like when a football player makes $25 mil / year. If people think its ridiculous then dont goto games, watch on TV, or buy merchandise.

The money goes to Amazon first, so if anyone gets a refund it will be through them. Streamers themselves are just contractors.

They will just stop their subs on Twitch and do it on Mixer, if they resub at all... but he's probably getting paid enough to not have to work ever again just for doing the exclusive deal. Just this news is a big win for Mixer.
Personally, I think Mixer is a better platform - from the perspective of a spectator - than Twitch, easily... it's just that most everyone is on Twitch and won't leave cause... why?

Honestly, I didn't really care much for Ninja until I found out that he was a big FFXI player back in the day, so he has my respect. He was even advocating and willing to support SE making FFXI classic servers (financially).
