I am worried about the next Elder Scrolls. Another bad release with day 1 DLC and then they nickle and dime that into the ground too? Although nowadays the expression should maybe be 'dollar and dollar' .
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. It doesn't matter that they are creating problems and then selling you the fix. Bethesda used to be one of my favorite developers, now I won't touch another game from them since they can't be trusted.
If it weren't for their modding community many of their games wouldn't be in a playable condition or even be as popular as some of the older games are. This is how they choose to reward the community.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

People could show their distaste by not buying it. It holds 15 unstackable food items. I don't see this giving anyone an edge really. I can't pick it up and throw it at another player and do more damage than without it. I bought one with caps I have earned from quests. I would feel very differently if caps could not be earned in-game.
Its creepy that people still get upset over MTX. It's not new, and its not going away. Get over it.

I can't do anything about loot boxes its not my choice to put them in the game. I just deal with the fact they are there by ignoring them. I can choose to cheat on my wife. That's the difference. Your analogy makes no sense in that regard.
Edit: I also don't get ripped off because i don't ever buy lootboxes or MTX. The only lootboxes i have ever opened was in Overwatch when I leveled up and got one for free
I find it hilarious how the posters here most accepting of lootboxes or MTX always put in the qualifier "...but I don't buy them myself."

I figure by this point the people who say our voice doesn't matter, after the Battlefront 2 debacle, are either grossly out of touch or have ulterior motives.
