ESPN just stick with sports, don't make no videogame announcement leave that job too mmorpg
To be fair, no one watches ESPN for sports anymore so they have to do something i guess. I grew up with them in the 80's but they're completely irrelevant now.
Not interested in any of Blizzard's cheap single A games that are nothing new and not very creative.Same old same old,no thanks, maybe make a real quality game and i might take notice and if Blizzard can't do that ,at least make something creative.
I seriously do not think Blizzard has ANY creativity,MOST of their portfolio is copying other games or just rehashing the Warcraft brand.Big pockets, loads of money, lack of talent within. somebody said this better just be a version 2.0,nah blizzard knows it has tons of whales it can sell literally anything to,no need to do more than you have to right?
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Leaked splash art for the presentation? What is this? Would you care to elaborate?
The Blizzard online store made a boo boo and posted a couple things early.
Bolvar coming back was less a rumor and more a confirmation due data mining, but Shadowlands, if this is true, then confirms most previous leaks about the next expansion.
Not really. Nothing is "confirmed" until this weekend.
There are 2 versions of the OW2 rumor: one that says there will be no new characters, no new maps and no new map objectives and one that says there will be new characters, new maps and new map objectives.
There are a couple different versions of the Shadowlands rumor and this is just the latest of the WoW expansion rumors.
At first I thought they are just going to reskin OW1 a bit add PVE and try to sell me OW2 but after thinking about it realized they can't really do that cause it'll appear cheap and desperate. If they are planning a looter shooter they must be expanding on customization for specific characters but seeing as Blizz has been running dry on new ideas lately my guess is it'll have a progression system like HotS where skills can fundamentally change. If they make it so weapons can be swapped like Reinhardt holding a huge branch/log or just fighting with his fists the game could be crazy fun.
I honestly can't justify it. As Nyc mentioned earlier, they could've just made it a 40$ expansion to OW, but again we have to remember the full name of the company is Activision-Blizzard....and CoD has been doing great....hasn't it? Anyone who comes out to defend this has to seriously think, 60$ for what you already have + 1 new map/hero/and some pve? Really? Especially after just launching OW1 on the switch.
Activision doesn't give a flying hoot about the Nintendo Switch. It was just a quick last effort cash grab! It's a terrible port, performance is terrible and they haven't bothered to patch it and probably never will.
It's the complete opposite of what they did with Diablo 3, which was actually an excellent port and got many hours of (re-)enjoyment out of it. Since it was done, when the old Blizzard management was still there.
I am glad I didn't waste any money buying Overwatch on Switch. That's for sure.
Will never touch Overwatch 2 either. Activision can stick it up their hole, where the sun never shines.
I bet it’s basically the same thing as overwatch 1 and this pve is monsters on their already made maps. A lot of recycled content...why....so they can get $60 from every AND bring future games like Overwatch 3. They want to make a 1000 game Call of Duty for the money. Nothing overly exciting to come.. I promise you it’s all easy development and nothing special. (I actually hope I’m wrong.) 1 new map and hero LOL I’m sorry but they just found a way to make more money.
Take away all the flash and fluff and CSS is still a far superior shooter.
Of course it is -- OW isn't a shooter at all, it's a MOBA. I think a lot of the toxicity it had was from Shooters who didn't understand that.
I think there are still some players who think it is all about getting the most kills, and don't understand that what they're doing to get them isn't always the best for the objective of the round and for the whole team to win the game. Likewise, they don't understand other people's strategies that don't produce so many kills can help the rest of the team achieve their goal of capturing a point or moving the payload.
Hmm, they have stuff like that in some FPS games, too, right? Maybe some people are just self-centered glory-hound jerks.

They are probably just having a good time and dont know any better. Cant blame them. Part of the fun of video games is figuring out how they work. Sure some players end up on the internet to improve, but that isnt required. There are plenty of jerks around in every multiplayer game, I assume, depending on your definition.
OW is still more of a shooter than a moba in my opinion. Perhaps it depends on the heroes you play.
Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.
I walked away from Overwatch nearly a year ago and I'm not going back. Overwatch 2 offers nothing that I want out of a second installment and demands that I pay full price for the game again. Nah, I'll be fine.
Overwatch 1 started out as a really fun game with the core characters just as they were. However, as they kept adding more characters and meddling with the old ones it quickly became OverSHIELD instead.
Every new character got another shield, old characters that never had a shield were given one and you spent 90% of your time burning down shields just to have that character dodge and hide when their shield broke and recharge it.
If your team didn't have a good flanker to disrupt their shield wall, then you were done.
I had played this game from pre-launch, every single day for more than a year and it was just starting to grind at me.
I left sometime right after Ashe came out and I realized that they were completely bankrupt on character ideas. The game already had a Cowboy and I guess he just wasn't good enough cause we needed a Cowgirl too.
