imageStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Review - MMORPG.com

It’s been a bumpy ride for Star Wars games over the past decade, with both previous Battlefront titles garnering mixed reviews and much controversy, as well as one of the last LucasArts games, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, receiving mediocre critical reviews. Enter Respawn Entertainment, developers of Titanfall and Apex Legends, to save the day. So, is the Force strong with Respawn Entertainment, or is this one for the Dark Side? This is our review of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Personally I was going to buy the game at Game Stop, but since I found out it uses Denuvo not going to, and if I were to rate this game i'd give a flat zero because through-out the entire game it uses additional resources it does not need by using Denuvo, and slowing down a persons performance and PC more than needed.

But this is just me, i'll be waiting if the game goes Free 2 Play in the future on Origin, but until then not worth my money, though I have my eyes on Cyberpunk 2077, think i'll snag me a collectors edition shortly for $200+ at Game Stop DRM free with Multi-Player support said to come <3 love them developers a lot over Bioware :\ except for the Older Jedi Knight Dark Forces II, and Jedi Knight Academy / original KOTR game.

Or just sub to origin premier for a low price and play it for "free" during your month sub..... GG You saved 50 bucks on a game that you finish in two days.

Also what's the hate about with Denuvo? It seems like you are complaining you can't pirate the game cause you are to cheap to buy it? Do you not lock your car and protect it? It's such a weird hype that when something is protected against theft it suddenly is "bad".

So this is AAA game with its short playthrough artificially extended by a lot of backtracking, poor story and run-of-the-mill combat and it gets 9/10? Reviews are truly useless those days when people fail at basic math.

Hi, can someone please clarify these two points:

    1) Is this available as a free title on Origin Premier? I can confirm it is on Premier. Just checked.
    2) How long does this game take to complete at normal speeds?

If the game has 40+ hours of content, I would consider buying it outright.
If the game has 10 hours of content, I will subscribe for one month, play the game, and unsubscribe.

    Thank you

You do realize that this is a singleplayer game and will never go "F2P" right? I understand the hatred for Denuvo, but you are missing out on a ton of games by skipping every Denuvo game. Quick side note towards OP: I would hardly consider 20-30 hours "Woefully short". I would consider that good length. Few singleplayer games that last longer then that are actually good. The game is essentially a Souls game, so if you have played those games you know what to expect when it comes to time played. Yes, there is a TON of backtracking in souls games, but it doesn't hurt them. It is okay to backtrack when you are using new mechanics and abilities to navigate through those areas / discover new things in them.

Cons - Woefully short: See you in a year or two when it is on more than a 50% discount. I won't pay for a trailer that is masquerading as a full priced game.

I see people getting around 25 hrs out of the game, online. Looks like Origin Premier is the way to go. 10€ for 25 hrs = not bad.

OK sorry Origin Premier is 15€ per month. Still seems fine to me.

59 euros on a game that you can finish in 2 days, no thanks.

On the very title screen the character look like he's mentally challenged - or at least has a lazy eye. This is an extremely defective / low quality modeling and animation job. Apparently the rest of the game is low quality as well. I don't believe this game can come even close to 9/10 with such obvious defects.

So, I'm hearing a lot of comparisons to Dark Souls mechanics, which I do not like.

Is the game difficult and does it offer difficulty settings?

Well, if it really is 25/30 hours, it's not really short.

25 hours is quite decent for a single player FPS.... Checking the web, seems that is about the average time people are spending.

$60 for a few cutscenes, eh?

Low Quality Modeling and Lazy Animations. You haven't watched or played the game then. The modeling and animations are anything but low quality if nothing else they help hold this game up more so then any other one factor of the game. Now the actual gameplay and level design / layout.. well that is a different story. Its very much a dark souls feeling game in that regards. There are some side paths you can go down but for the most part its a very much on rails type of setup. Alternate paths are blocked off with locked doors and such. Also lots of back tracking to pickup missed loot along the way ala Dark Souls.

Really worth the $15 monthly access fee cause you can easily finish the game in a months time and for $15 the game is more then worth that in my opinion.

Wasn't aware 30 hours of gameplay was short, maybe you guys should try getting off your couch occasionally instead of burning through games start to finish in a single sitting?

It is very much like Dark Souls in the combat. But it does offer difficulty settings so you can tune it up or down to make things easier or harder depending on how you like to play. Story mode is so easy that you are very unlikely to die... like ever die when fighting unless you just stand still.

Ah, so I was right.... this is exactly like The Force Unleashed. Sure, the combat may be different, but the story is similar and the length of the game is about the same. Yep, not worth it, just another over hyped POS.

15 hours, the length of time the reviewer stated it took him to finish the game, is not a full length game, IMO. I'm not going to pay full price for it. Maybe *next* Christmas I'll buy the GOTY at a steep discount.

BTW, I got my Platinum on Sekiro, and that took a *lot* longer than 15 hours for me to get.

If Denuvo is slowing down your PC perhaps its time to upgrade my friend. I doubt you could even run the game if thats the case. Also does Game Stop sell PC copies anymore?

I think it has more to do with Denuvo being his own personal crusade.

He's had personal beef with Denuvo for a while. And when you couple that with his crusade against multiple anti-cheat softwares, well, I'm not saying he's a cheater, but...

That's a possibility but I think he's one of those people who just freaks out over his computer security and having other processes running. Not saying Tin Foil Hat but "tin foil hat."

Of course, one should be cognizant of what is going on in their computer, but when a good many games use anti-cheat software then after a while one must either learn to accept it or walk away and do something else. I don't see it going away completely.
