Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.
It's literally the list the article is talking about...did you not read it? I mean, it can't be any more clear.

I don't know what article you are reading but this one says it was picked by mmorpg.com staff.
From the context, I assume it means "best games that can only be played online", but as that seems like a pointless thing to vote on I hope I'm wrong. When I read it, I assumed it meant games that have a persistent online world, but neither Destiny 2 or The Division 2 have persistent online worlds, both being fully instanced with no persistence.
Shit I guess I should read it all the way though, my bad, I thought I missed the vote as per usual.

As for the list, I mean they are working with what they have, which is several trash heaps in 2k19, lets hope we see some games in 20, this is getting bad.

EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests
This is what happens when some team at MMORPG.com gets to just award some shit.
Bad calls.
Or would you like to put forth an argument as to why Pokemon, FIFA, and Call of Duty are the pinnacles of gaming?

i do find myself disagreeing with DMKano more often than not, but for this I also think Disco Elysium is above all other rpgs of this year, have had a hunch about it and the narrative quality for more than a year now following it, and even more rarely, that hunch was more than vindicated when it launched. That doesn't happen often. Disco Elysium is what we need if we are gonna get great stories and characters in our RPGs of the quality of the original Planescape: Torment.
I certaintly hope that the universal dislike for DMKano's comment is more personal, that it is representative of the game itself, because otherwise it's a sign of too much focus on gameplay, raw rpg systems, relative immersion and not enough on lore, world, narrative and characters.
Also i haven't seen or known how the dev looks like until i looked at it right now due to your comment, just for clarification, ...
yeaaaa.... I really wanted that game to be great
