It ain't the game I wanted, but it's probably the closest to marvel heroes that I'll get.
Man, don't break my heart like that.  :(
    Hugs?

It is kinda sad, I know.  I don't trust netmarble. I know I'm an idiot though. I know I'll drop cash for the costumes I want, as long as they have the characters I like.

I'm not convinced the Avengers is going to give me the characters I want to play. I don't like netmarble, but at least they go deep in future fight with the characters you can play as. Though that game is trash.
I'm hoping Marvel's Avengers will be better than people expect.

But it will probably never let me play as my Ragin Cajun.
I can't even recall if he's ever even been on an Avengers team. I know Rogue has.  Honestly, I'm not even sure if they'll let me play as Ant-Man right now.. he's one of my favorite characters, even though he was extremely underpowered in Marvel Heroes.

    Fingers crossed though.

Like I said. Profoundly unlikely to ever happen, but would make me throw dollar bills like he throws cards.

I'll be stuck playing Iron Man until they add some of my other favorites (like Star Lord, Cyclops, and Daredevil).

"Mobile"; noun, derived from Latin words 'more bile," meaning to suck, to fail, to fashion a shit sandwich; to receive a kick in the jimmies; to punch one's own junk.

Will they shut it down like so many of their other games?

Look at all the games they shut down...

    Marvel Heroes PC
    Super Hero Squad PC
Battle Lines(1 year after launch...) Mobile
    Avengers Academy Mobile
    Disney Infinity?

I'm sure there are more games to add to the list but there are people who spent thousands in the games I mentioned and Disney just doesn't care. Heroes of the storm is decent enough to keep the game up in maintenance mode. Keeping games like Marvel Heroes or Super Hero Squad up would've been pennies for a company like Disney but they apparently view their games how they view movies they make when it stops making lots of money move it to the can.

When the whaling stops in Marvel Strike Force I'm sure they'll have no problem shutting it down without a thought even though they touted that the game made 10 million in 1 month a few months back.

I will try this game cause I play a lot of mobile but my spending will be very limited cause I've already given them so much support both financial and spiritual in the games they shut down. Oh crap just noticed it's Netmarble and that should have everyone worried. Their existing mobile game Future Fight has problems that are never fixed they just keep adding more cash shop stuff. Future Fight guild content just pure garbage boring compared to Marvel Strike Force. The fact that Marvel chose Netmarble again a SK company and a sub par one at that does not inspire confidence that Marvel makes good decisions anymore when choosing dev studios.

I wonder if it'll actually not just be another generic auto-battle grinder with a Marvel skin just like pretty much EVERY open world mobile MMO out there.  I'm not holding my breath on that.

Marvel heroes and super hero squad, that was a Gazillion thing. I think Marvel Heroes could have stuck around if Gazillion wasn't... Gazillion.

Battle lines just never caught on and Avengers Academy was awful. Avengers Academy could have done better if they had a show that coincided with it, because that's what it felt like...

Disney Infinity ... can't really speak to that, but I think it was pretty clear that the premise didn't really take off. Amiibos are generally the same thing, and some of them have already been discontinued, and ultimately, outside of Japan, I bet they will be discontinued.  I just don't think there's a huge market for those here.

Future Fight could be a good game, but the grind is unimaginable, and the stats building is so confusing, normal players probably never build their characters properly.  I just have no want to play it.

But Strike Force isn't any better.  It's pretty boring, once you have a team setup, your battles usually only go one way.  At least when the time comes to fight a boss or whatever in Future Fight, if you find the boss to be particularly tough, you can take control and attempt to play "smart".

But as for this game...  I don't doubt that it will do better than Battle Lines and Avengers Academy.  No doubt they'll get a bigger following... but to what extent, I don't know.

It's Future Revolution... just like Lineage 2 Revolution. so I would put money on it, it's just a reskinned Lineage Revolution.  That's not necessarily a bad thing... it's not a bad game, but it's not what "we" want.

Super Hero Squad and MH had more content than every other Marvel game currently on the market combined. If you factor in how many people spent money on those games whatever internal problems Gaz had did not bleed over into the development of their games. Super Hero Squad had playable characters that probably will never again be used in any other game with the Marvel Label on it.

Battle Lines - one of the top 5 best card games I've ever played as far as design AND ftp players having a chance to compete against paying players. Ftp players being able to have a chance at beating players is rare with mobile games but battle lines pulled it off all while being able to play as our favorite heroes and villains.

Avengers Academy - was a game that took getting used to but the people who played it loved it as a collection game. The game had a wide selection roster and the game had some serious whales.

Future Fight - have you played in the past month? The last update completely revamped/ruined everything making stuff people purchased with real money USELESS. There's more like bugs never being fixed AND stopping support for Chromebook which they sold microtransactions on for YEARS. When you contact support they give you an automated response or just ignore you completely. If they respond they will try to blame the disconnects on YOUR WiFi and calling Chromebook 3rd party even though it is a direct dl from Google play the same as your phone. Essentially every single problem players are having they try to put the blame on the players rather than fix THEIR problems and THAT is the company making this new Marvel game...

Gazillion had no idea what they were doing. They revamped marvel heroes several times, it wasn't until they launched on console they finally started to get things right, and they basically relaunched marvel heroes twice.

But their leadership at that time was worthless, and not what disney wanted representing them, and I understand it.

Battle lines was a cool idea for a card game, but they were never able to balance the cards properly, and it didn't really make much sense. It was cool for what it was, and unique, but there wasn't really a way to keep people going.. after a while it just got boring.

Avengers Academy may have had some interesting characters, but.. they really didn't... honestly.. a lot of them were popular characters, though some were more off the beaten path, but mostly, the game wasn't resonating with a lot of Marvel fans.

Future Fight has been fairly popular for a long time, because they honestly do have one of the most extensive rosters of Marvel characters ever created.

But I don't play... because honestly, they've changed so much every time I log in I have to relearn everything, and then they just push stars and masteries higher and higher...unless you pay, you really can't keep up.

And I fully expect Future Revolution to be the same way.  To what extent, I'm not sure.

But I'm not averse to spending money if it's a game I like.  Will this be a good game? I guess we have to wait and see.

Cool story, mobile game with that scary predatory cash system, designed for emulators with 80% of the players using Emulators.
The excuse perfect "EWWW our game uses the default cash system from every mobile game, its not our fault if 80% of the players are playing with a PC with emulator"

They also shut down the console version of Marvel Heroes (MH Omega), so i'll count that as another game they killed.

So many Marvel Games, almost all of which are mobile guff.

Because Disney is a shitheel of a company.
Less than half of their games are mobile(5 out of their current 13 titles). Did you forget MvC, Spiderman(one of the best games of the decade), UA, the Avengers title SE is making? I get that it's hip to hate on the big companies but making things up to do fit your narrative is pretty sad.
Is Spiderman actually Disney licensed? I'm pretty sure Sony owns the Spiderman rights.
Sony owns the rights but its complicated when it comes to MCU. It's still a Marvel title though, hence why I included it in a rebuttle saying almost all marvel games are mobile. Disney still owns the other 12 titles (of which only 5 are mobile).
Still. The highest rated/best of their console efforts is NOT a Disney licensed title.

Now, I'm not sure what list you are utilizing, but, taking you at your word, 5 of 12 games being mobile is NOT a good metric. 58% is still a failing grade.

Not to mention, their actual console game titles haven't exactly been well regarded lately.

MvCI has a terrible reputation that can largely be traced back directly to Disney's at-the-time intentional devaluing of the Xmen and FF licenses.

MUA3 is largely viewed as mediocre at best, with core issues such as a bad camera, bad UI, and poor loading times that have yet to be addressed by developer Team Ninja.

And while I'm not going to cast judgement on Marvel's Avengers, let's not pretend that the pre-release impressions have been glowing.
errr.. think your wires are crossed.. people enjoy MUA3, go look at the reddit etc...

I frequent the reddit, and it is a very divided community that brings up those same issues regularly.

It isn't at all an unpopular opinion that the camera is a joke. Or that loading times are far too long. Or that ISO-8 management is a pain in the ass. Or that ISO-8 is an unsastifying gear system. Or that the season pass was disappointing (to anyone expecting more story content). Etc...

not sure what subreddit you're browsing, but i rarely see negative threads popping up and i have /r/mau3 saved in favorites so i see all the new threads.

but i guess it's easy to see what you want to validate your opinion so it's a pointless argument.

Edit - should be noted, i don't disagree the game has a few issues like the camera... thats probably the most complained about.

just the general consensus seems to be far more positive than negative and it's generally a well received game.

Is this open world PvP ? Won't that be a gas that the only game to look forward to for open world PvP enthusiasts is a mobile game.

Wouldn't surprise me if there was a substantial PvP component. Competition and leaderboards are one of the primary methods mobile games use to encourage you to spend.
