Service transfers have been underway in Black Desert Online since late January, though the team at Pearl Abyss is givng BDO players a deadline to ensure their accounts are transferred. Any account not transferred to a Pearl Abyss account will be deleted on May 31st, according to the MMO developer.

When I transferred mine through Steam, you go to the website linked in the article and sign in through steam. From there it'll walk you through the process to pre-register your steam account for a Pearl Abyss account transfer. Pretty seamless in my experience,
It reminds me of MMOs that send out a warning they are removing names from char on accounts if they dont log in. I get it, they want to free up names for new players. But I have had warning end up in span folder and not seen them. When I went back to said game. See my names all messed up. I walk away.

Just run it without all your blocks like any normal person would instead of detailing to the internet your security set up like that's not the biggest security flaw you got.
It took like 3 seconds. Took longer for the gmail for my steam authent than the actual transfer.
As for it being automated...dude lol.... You ever mass automate a billion accounts plus?
ME neither but i bet it's a nightmare to set up and pay for.
Just have the users do it and reward em with stuff...I'd rather them give me the junk they are rather than on launch day find out the robot said Fk you and decided to delete the entire data base.

I would have preferred Pearl do the transfers. All they had to do is make it extra simple with confirming our account information. Not have to sign up for a new account. I understand there are some people who apparently have plenty of time on their hands but not all of us have that luxury of worrying about every account we have. COVID has complicated things immensely. You know that virus thing?
Well, I just transferred my account today before the wipe deadline. And guess what? None of my stuff nor characters are showing up. Pearl has me as a new account and they want me to buy the game again before playing. This is after I TRANSFERRED my account which should have included my stuff.
Now I have to waste time contacting support which was also a pain as it was not working correctly and took me forever to finally get a ticket in. Now I have to wait and use up more of my precious time dealing with this hassle.
So yeah. Not cool !!!
