Why are Legendary members with decades old accounts and 13-37k posts so upset + tag team pile driving new members with 19-39 posts... think about it...
Everything I wrote in my previous post in this thread was validated less than 24 hours later... My only mistake was not noticing before that a couple other people(or alt accounts) make up the paid shill/control scheme here.
Imagine doing a job for such a long time(burnout) that you completely lose track of what you can and can't do/say to be good at it. Also imagine being so disconnected with others because posting here is just a job that someone can spell out in detail what your system/format for conduct is then less than a day later do it anyway cause you just don't care who knows anymore lol...
I read through this thread but have no idea what you are talking about, or why you just suddenly attacked Slapshot even though you seem to share some of his scepticism about the game.
Just because a few long time posters here happen to agree that calling people names is propbably not the best way to get your point accross doesn't mean they are "ganging up" on anyone. If anything the members you are calling out seem to be supportive of new posters, or anyone really. Where did all this hate suddenly come from?
Well, we aren't going to see this game going live any time soon. I guess these days playing PRE-ALPHA, ALPHA, PRE -BETA and CLOSED BETA and all these testing phases is the new normal. GOD knows how much I hate that.
Anyway, i just want to express my frustration to these never ending development phases. ALL i want is a new AAA MMO to play and stick with it for a few years. Too much to ask?
Few things after watching the stream. Was impressed how many people were in the battle with no lag. For alpha 1, thats awesome. Seems their coding is strong so far. Steven was playing on a 1080 Ti and recording playing, on a wide screen monitor @ 1080 60FPS. For large scale battles, thats impressive. Not sure how they maintain that with the over sized particle effects.
Steven gave himself way to many HP and more then once he was stun locked buy a few players to the point he could not even move. Diminishing returns need to be addressed on CC and Steven said thats in the works.
Class balance is not being worked on right now, the focus is about getting the systems in place and tested. At this point they only have 5 classes in the game and none of the 64 archetypes. They are focusing on combat systems and other systems.
Also, Steven team and the attackers could respawn and get back into PvP very quickly, making death not very meaningful for PvP. Not sure if this is just for testing.
Also Stevens team all ported back to the main gate to the throne room (what you need to capture to win the PvP battle) I am not sure if that was a dev tool or intended.
Siege looked well done. Many points to get into the keep with Siege. So it will be a fun challenge to defend.
Textures, graphics and art style looked awesome. The lighting in the throne room looked epic. They do have a killer art team.
Rubber Banding is still an issue the longer the play session went on the worse it got but this is still Pre-Alpha. The lead coder said this is their current priority.
Dragon raid in the PvP zone (killing the dragons gives you side buffs) had more depth and mechanics since last video. Looked down right fun already.
As for Brad leaving, was addressed and done very well. The team wishing him best and taking time to tell stories about his time there. Seems they have worked with him on a few other projects. Happy to see the friendship the team builds.
Steven mentioned they are always in the process of looking for talented developers to add to their team. The hiring process has never stopped.
