If you've been waiting for more looks and reveals of Elder Scrolls 6, well, you might be kept waiting. According to Bethesda studio head Todd Howard, it's still very much in the design phase.

No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.
Though truly there was little to speak of here, so minimal bloviation.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
64 times the detail!!
It just works.
Todd Howard is a meme. I have gone from respecting Bethesda and playing all their games to laughing at them.

I"m sure it will be fine. They are one studio and they are working on other stuff.
Elder Scrolls is one of their largest, if not the largest, IP. It's a veritable guarantee to print money.
I'm also guessing they are working on adding larger cities/towns given some of the recent comments about how they used to make towns/cities.

They can milk people with the cash shop in F76.
Same thing for ES.
Why would they ever make ES6?
The can milk people with the cash shop in ESO.
This company is all in on the live service cash shop bandwagon. To laughable degrees.

they are not milking skyrim anymore. eso is the reason they wont release it.
TES is their baby, they may have done quite a lot of missteps with their side projects like Fallout 4 and 76, and yes, i consider anything that isn't a number Elder scrolls game a Bethesda side-project.
Anyone who has following Bethesda since the early days, they've been done this road before- before Morrowind, they fell into the same trap of trying to keep up with industry and consumer demand of delivering releases.
They were in financial trouble before Morrowind, and Zenimax bought them out to get them back to work and it's what made Morrowind possible. (Thanks Christopher Weaver.)
When i saw the buyout of Bethesda to Microsoft, i thought to myself: "Is this another moment in time when Bethesda gets saved out of their financial woes and comes back to create a juggernaut title like Morrowind?"
That is kind of the hope i have holding out for them right now, we've seen this before of them going down a road of rocky and subpar game releases, get bailed out of trouble, and then return victoriously with a genre defining game; I'm hoping that's what Elder Scrolls 6 will be.
I don't care much for Starfield though; space games make me sick to my stomach when they are hyper realistic, it's why i could never play EVE online despite my love and fascination for space itself, i have a super fear of heights, and space is like the ultimate height scare. xD

It seems they even turned fallout 76 around as it seems to have players. Fallout 4 as well for that matter.
though how many players they need for '76 in order to keep it going is another matter.
No, I think they were sold because it was an investment and it was time to reap the profits.

Also I think last time Zenimax was in headlines because of layoffs was something like 2015.
Also Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls Online have both seen quite a lot of continuous development. If Zenimax were hurting for money I don't think they'd invest that unless it was profitable.
Imho there's no evidence or indication that this sale would been because of financial troubles.

Blame it also for the 11/22 release date for Starfield instead of 11/21.

You seems to forgetting one important thing. Microsoft did not take them over to sell more Skyrim. They took them over to sell more game pass. For that they need a steady release of good games.
