The post didn't go through the first time, so I hit the post button again later which was after your post. At least I think that's what happened.

Mythic has shown they can create a balanced PVP enviornment?  Uhm, no.

There aren't many DAOC subscribers now for the intial burst of players, it will probably be ex-DAoC players

It'll be the same as in DAOC.Word spreads fast about major skirmishes and everyone heads to that zone.Anyone from any race from either faction can hit any pvp zone.

There will probably be 1 or 2 favoured zones, like Emain in DAOC,where most folks looking for pvp action go when nothing major is happening.

I'm not sure, but the way the game is looking now it seems to be overhyped. It's not very appealing imo. The graphics look really strange and seems like there will be only three playable races? All I have seen in screens are dwarves, orcs, and goblins. It's probably because I don't checkout their website. I think that if it is too PvP oriented then all the carebears will leave to WoW. I still have high hopes for this game with a rating of 9.

6 playable races at launch and you never have to pvp if you don't want to.

I'm more einterested in if I have to leave PvP.

I'm one of the people who is actually sad about ShadowBane's demise.  PvP is the only thing that will keep me in a game once I reach the end game.

WoW couldn't even hold my attention long enough to reach lvl 60, and that's not lon in that game.

Ummmm yes. Ever play DAoC....about the most even teams you can get. your probably just saying that because you played a server overrun with once race. Check all the servers a different realm is winning in each server.

I don't think WAR will break 2 Million subscribers even though I believe it will be a great game. WOW has always been a very easy game to play. Anyone who has played DAOC, EQ, or even AC can agree that you could almost play WOW in your sleep (and many times I think I did). This is the reason why WOW is so popular with the younger crowd which always had problems in other more complex games like DAOC.

I believe WAR will appeal to people to more of the hardcore crowd and because of this you won't see the numbers of players that WOW has. Over all i think WAR will easily have 500k copies sold after 6 months and have 500k subscribers at the end of the first year. This is mainly because the hardcore crowd will probably purchase at least two accounts (I will after 30 days is up with the first account).
