Well Iv played alot of the big named ones(WoW,DAoC,EQ2,Ryzom,L2,FFXI,CoH/CoV,GW, etc.. ) and none of them could keep me for any longer then 2-3months.. except Ragnarok Online. I dont know what it is in that game thats so fun, maybe its not having to do repeated quest all the time, non instanced world( be in a dungeon with many other players and you would sometimes help each other out ) and how amazing balanced it is ( being able to decide your own character stats/build , many different builds for each class ). The PvP in it was fun and harmless/rewardless except for Guild wars. I could go on and on about this game, I truely believe its the best Korean mmorpg( least its unique ) and I definately had the most fun in that game over many other MMORPGs. So what MMO did you have the most fun with and why?

Strangely I have the most fun in EVE ....
Sneaking around knowing that if I get caught by "group x" I will probably die and lose my ship that's not insured and those nice implants because those SOB's will probably POD KILL ME ALSO!
The excitement that has built because to scout this system for my buds has taken me the better part of a hour travel time, my only hope is that it is lightly guarded or that I am faster than thier gurds and can avoid destruction until the battlegroup can jump in and save my arse.
AHHHH I love the smell of vaporized carbide armor in the morning......
Witty saying to amuse you goes here.
SWG Pre-CU, it had a ton of fun game mechanics, but SOE nerfed, broke, or "fixed" most of them to be worse then they were before.
Asheron's Call 2.
But you can't really try that one out unless someone can get a hold of the old server software.
Whatever. Such things were not meant to last.
EQ2 has had me subbed for the longest time... being two years.
But one I had most fun in? Yeh probably EQ2, just dungeon raiding with my mates culling creepers while joking about how the beholders' eyes popped out of their heads... good times... thinking of resubbing after I get a new rig.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
Game On!
EQ1 in the days before the second expansion was the stuff.
I find EQ2 the best atm but it holds no candle to EQ1 in the old days.
i had the most fun with CU star wars galaxies .. mainly cuz i used to own jedi like no tommorrow with my combat medic BH flavor of 5 months template ...
i also built up a kick butt BH guild .. TWO cities and just had a blast ... the game wasnt the best .. but it was good enough .. and it was star wars .... course i quit cuz i didnt like the nge
nowadays im having a LOT of fun with COV .. but its hard to stick with for the long term .. ya gotta work at it and make good friends ... which is what im doing .. its like being in a relationship with a chick .. you know theres other pwa pwa out there youd like to get knee deep in ... but something inside of ya says to stick with one thing and you do .... so im trying to make my relationship with COV work .. its combat is awesome ..
just not a real RPG, if ya ask ME ...

I'm with you. EQ 1 pre-Luclin. Velious started the downward spiral for me, but Luclin really nailed it. Shame, haven't played any MMORPG as much as EQ 1, and I've tried a few. Playing Horizons right now but you can't help feeling it's going to go tits up really fast too.
Well, as alot of people have played loads of games out there, It's hard for me to single one game out, I mean, I've played almsot every game out there. On the other hand, in my yonger days I found Runescape 1 alot of fun.
Going around mining mithril ore with 5 friends, just hanging out waiting for that damn skeleton to spawn and kill it.
Or spending 5 days straight fishing my way up to lobster, so i could sell it and make even more money.
Underpricing people in the main town making other sellers pissed at me.
Great times..
And then there is Ragnarok, I spent a good 4 months playing, yet seeing as the game was actaully decently made, i can honestly say i had alot of fun, I can honestly say once they closed the beta doors, i feel sad and left out.
Ah well.
In any case, There have been times in many games where i felt i was having alot of fun, like Eve, Wow, Face of mankind, EQ2. I guess what seperates them and my first mentioned games, is the fact i wasnt "forced" to play, seeing i payed to play.
Sadly, not alot of people see this.
Ah well, enough of my mindless ramble, I enjoy reading all of your posts, seeing other people happy in a way makes me happy too
Close 2nd: SWG pre NGE
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.
Sig image Pending
Still in: A couple Betas
The original UO provided me the most memorable MMO experience. It was easily the most fun I have ever had playing a multiplayer game.
I am sure many of you have either played or have read long posts describing why UO is/was so unique. Since this is more or less a polling-thread, I won't put you to sleep with all the details.
i fight the battles other fear
EagleRanger
Two games that I had the most fun in where both ruined.
AO Goodness I loved that game before SL changed it to a Heckler fest.
SWG Before SOE shot themselves in the foot.
Support Bacteria, its the only culture some people have.
I don't play too many MMO's, but I have tried a few. The best ones I've played are:
Guild Wars and Guild Wars Factions.
To be honest, FFXI. I love being in a truly well-functioning party, the way everything just clicks, watching the weaponskills go off like clockwork and being able to always nail the Magic Bursts. The story content has been superior, and I just played Ballista (PvP) for the first time last night, and that was a helluva lot of fun. Didn't do that great, and we lost but I did at least get one goal in. I'm planning to do better next time

Most fun I've ever had in an MMORPG?
Well, with the exception of the totally pathetic and lacking sound effects I'd have to go with Dark Age of Camelot. Played that game for over 2 years.
Everquest 2 and Dungeons & Dragons Online come in close, specially with the new features each seem to be getting.

Do not hate it, but instead embrace the diversity.
i haven't found any game that i actually liked to play, usually i was just addicted to it
Have fun in EVE, but since DAoC was my first MMO I have a softspot for it.
Of course that was before Mythic fuggered it up with buggy and unbalanced expansions and patches.

close second would be Anarchy Online
and third WWIIOnline wich i started playing like 20 days ago (god i love this game )
My first love was UO. I played it for at least 5 years. It was my first MMORPG and the aspects of the game were amazing at the time. Over the years as game graphics and gameplay changed, UO did not. I quit when they implemented Power Scrolls and artifacts because it no longer depended on your skill at playing but at how many artifacts you had. Before artifacts, the economy was better because players bought player-made items. Now crafters are only used to repair magical items or fill BODs to get magical items. With so many artifacts out, those who have the money, time, and patience get god-mode.
I beta tested and played SWG for almost 2 years. It was extremely fun at first. Later when they added holocrons and then changed the succession of jedi to mission and experience questing, I just couldn't bare it. It became Jedi Wars. I think the economy was and still is fairly decent in the game. The missions got old very fast though.
After waiting countless months with no MMORPG, I found WoW. It was something new, and it even looked promising. I beta tested it, and then played it for almost a year after that. The graphics and skills are fun, but the gameplay is very dull.
In summary: UO, SWG, and WoW were my favorites. But like most games do, the developers lost their focus and dreams of the game.
pre-NGE SWG. Was in a great guild and really enjoyed my time there.
I'm playing AO online and really enjoy that as well. I wish there were more skill-based games in the industry. I'd also enjoy playing another sandbox-type game like SWG.

wow is like cox, it's pretty. like the hot blond that won't put out but is barely aware of her surroundings because she's got like 3 working brain cells. yeah, like that.
uo - GET SOME 2006+ GRAPHICS
swg - kill everyone and THEN fire them who works for SOE. make swg pre-cu AND fix broken things (BH MISSIONS~!!!)
either of those happens, and it won't just be just an alltime fave, it'll be the current fave too.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
