NA East has been very stable since early access, Karta server in particular.

Another interesting point, a guild member lives in Indonesia running on a VPN out of Australia and has no problems playing on our NA East server.
So ya wanna come join us, no problem, even have a Discord and everything ...whoo hoo!

No restarts here until today. Second time mine has been restarted in the last two hours. Servers having issues. Hope they get this crap worked out. Starting to think AWS servers can't handle gaming.
fucking 2nd day in a row im fucked out of all my dailies and mats because of EU shits
dont start flooding our servers either, we don't need whatever you did to EU servers to happen here too, stick to your own region, and VPNs are bannable so good luck, because amazon bans often for a lot less

Wtf are you pal, people play where the fuck they want muppet.
No company can ever forbid you from using a VPN. A few big ones learned this the hard way whenever they decided to enforce such a baseless policy on me.

Interested to hear about this. If you do use a VPN to circumvent a region lock (not just for games), and they decide to block or ban you from their service, is there a means to responding?
How would they know, whole point is to keep your real location private. I could use a VPN if I chose to, actually pay AVG for one though I rarely use it as my ISP automatically reports to the world I live in Jacksonville Florida, (which I don't.)
Now they could decide to ban anyone using a VPN, my friend ran into this when using Hulu or someone to access local TV stations, they ban VPN use as it prevents them from properly compensating the correct stations, but it's pretty rare otherwise.
Guy in our guild wasn't able to create a US account via his AU VPN, apparently Steam is wise to such tricks, so he had a US based friend help him open it, but was then able to connect through his VPN afterwards.
Might be an issue if he had to pay for something but he probably could open an account with an online bank of some sort to circumvent.

I used to gamble a lot and I always had a large sum of money in my wallet on Pokerstars. Over the years they emailed me a few times and asked me why am I using a VPN and each time I responded it is none of their business and our conversation ended up right there without any problems. Although I was using a UK bank account, so, legally, they really had no problem.
Another time Upwork suspended my account for using a VPN, which sort of resulted in blocking the payment of 8 employees of mine. I called them and told them it is none of their business and if they won't restore my account immediately then I will be forced to take legal action. They fixed my account while I was still nagging.
Banks are very different though. They suspend your account whenever they want as a "security measure" to "protect you" and all that bullshit. HSBC bank once called me and asked me to login without VPN so they can confirm my location. I told them I don't want to. I really had no reason besides it is really no one's business nor right to ask me that. So they suspended my internet banking as a "security measure" blah blah and told me to restore it via their secure protocol or some crap. I just called support and played dumb and got it fixed. Again, that has happened only once in like 20 years or something. And I am ALWAYS using a VPN no matter what.
I can't recall a gaming company ever banned me for using a VPN, or even cared when I used one. In fact, I usually used a VPN to login, then just disconnect it. Never got banned, or warned, or anything. I can't recall all the games obviously but SWTOR, ESO, Black Desert, FFXIV are the top of my head.
Games can really suspend your account for whatever reason. In my experience they really don't care that much to go out of their way and suspend their customers. I don't know, maybe I was just lucky.

What would they do, ban you and not refund your money? As long as someone is not paying anything it's a risk for sure, but worth it I suppose since their other option is to not play at all.

Were you on US NA East, I did notice one server in the list was showing as under maintenance around 9:45 PM which would be abnormal.

They can tell you use a VPN and still not know your actual location. I was more interested on the legalese, what happens if they detect and ban or block you. Thank for the examples though.
Regardless, EU players do not need VPN to access NA servers in this case.
I assume it's as enforceable as any other clause in their EULA, assuming it's in there of course. Denial of service with no refunds if any monies were paid would probably be within their rights.
My guess is both Steam and Amazon have to show they made reasonable attempts to hinder people from regions not under their contract with Smilegate in order to avoid being sued for extra money.

As for vpn they can tell if you are using a vpn and some places, mostly netflix and other such media, they can just ban the vpn IP's en masse so log in doesn't work. It then becomes a circular race tween said companies and vpn offering new IP etc.
I think most games wont bother with that though tbh.
Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
Who would have thought it, game wide server closures and starting of new ones is still causing problems? Remember only the other day it was "quickly fixed", I must have a crystal ball here to have predicted issues and I will now predicate more even after they fix these. Well either a crystal ball or it is exceedingly obvious as this always happens. I don't think they do transfers, that's the one thing stopping this getting even more out of hand.
Today queue is like 800. So maybe we are in the clear now.

US East patches/restarts on Regulus, including last night. The server overall has been fairly stable for my own experience. Haven't had a chance to jump yet on today after this most recent patch
