It’s not really a score system. It’s just thumbs up or down. I played a lot of overwatch but if I reviewed games, I wouldn’t have given it a thumbs up in its current state.

Most are Chinese doing it anyhow

    The rule here is:

If it's a game I do NOT like then it's gamers voicing their opinion.

If it's a game I do like then it's unjustified review bombing.
There is One Rule for the games I play and Another Rule for the rest.

It does sometimes seem like that from some player's posts. :)

Keep Calm and Carry On Posting.

Politics and attacks on other players are the only two reasons people get banned, we have lost enough gamers to the ban hammer, don't add to that list.

    all of it is warranted.
Worse way to earn cosmetics, heroes behind battle pass, removal of the original, cancelation of the pve, role queue being universally disliked, imbalance constantly, the list goes on and on. Blizzards handling of Overwatch after like 2019 has been extremely poor. I understand covid but come on.

Now review bombing by actually players (like on Steam) is a different story. So what I argue is "legit players who are angry over one specific aspect of the game" and then review bomb the game is okay in my opinion. The words of the devs, quality of the company decisions and treatment of the players all go into the review. Its like reviewing a restaurant for a meal - the staff, the ambience, the surroundings, etc... all go into the review.

Maybe semantics but I don't consider that review bombing. On Steam that's just negative reviews by verified players and they can use whatever criteria they want to give it a thumbs up or down.

Review bombing is what happens on sites like Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic where, as you say, anyone can make fake accounts to do bogus scores as PS fanboys are already organizing to do to Starfield.
Why are they preparing to do that to Starfield?

Because it's not available on PlayStation.

They have no ground to complain. Bloodborne STILL ISN'T AVAILABLE on PC! I would give them SF if they gave us BB. For starters.

dont like the game? dont like the direction the devs are putting the game? then dont support or play it.

its like, the review bombers are people who HATE eating a certain place, but keep going back to it. when they can easily just GO somewhere else, but dont want to.

Review bombing a game is never justified and only further makes reviews useless to use as a source of information...however, normally on Steam it is ok. Since you need to own games on Steam to review them it is normally fine, but not in this case because OW2 is F2P. Anyone can just add the game to their library and review it negatively without playing it.

Personally I think you should be unable to review a game unless you have put a considerable amount of time into it if it is free or if you have purchased any MTX in it. . 5+ hours would be fair.

Always nice to see new joiners but that analogy needs some work.
