Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward.
We’re still learning what is best for PC players and your feedback has been invaluable. Thanks again for your continued support of Helldivers 2 and we’ll keep you updated on future plans.

I think players have a right to vent and rage when their game is pulled, or locked behind a required account, because of politics and stupid shit like this. You may say that getting mad is dumb about creating an account, well it is if you could simply just do that. But if your favorite game was pulled from Steam, or you have a hatred of Sony or dislike making another account, I think they have every right to protest. To be frank, unless this is some new policy from Sony, I blame the devs for not preparing for this and warning their customers ahead of time. Then again it could have been a surprise requirement that not even the devs were ready for. Who knows. Just more stupid corporate shit.

I do not get the criticism against the reviews in some of
the posts above, and I am usually the "game companies" apologist. It is
as much the buyers' right to leave those reviews as it is for Sony to
force the account linking ( excepting the countries where the game was
delisted, that's just a gross move from Sony), and both have equally as
much to do with the actual game.
Do you get as much for being a "game companies apologist" as I do for being a "curmudgeonly PC dinosaur" on here?
