even if the movie didn't follow the comics, the story was just plain awkward. I mean losing a genetic mutation that is encrypted in your DNA with a shot? And the means of producing this medicine was from a child that had mutant powers that get rid of mutant powers? The whole mass of plastic guns was weird to me also, like that simpsons episode where the people threw their guns out and later got the boards with nails in it to chase the aliens out. i mean i know it was a movie, but what were they thinking?

I used the be the ultimate X-Men nerd when I was a lad, but you really can't blame the cast or crew for the so-so feeling of the movie. It is hard to do a movie with so many good guys and so many bad guys and such much lore. Even with 3 movies it just isn't easy unless you focus, and I mean extremely focus on just 1 good guy and maybe 1 or 2 bad buys. This is the reason why the Spider-Mans are so damn good. It is also the reason why the inevitable Wolverine Spinoffs will be so damn good.

As for the killing off of characters I could care less. No one is truely dead in these types of things, and those of us who watched all the credits know that even more.
Lastly, the rewriting of a lot of the X-Men lore doesn't bother me. They included the important things and then decided to tweak the other stuff to better tell the stories. I do however, have 2 complaints. One, Sabretooth's character should have either been true to the comics, or left alone for use in the Wolverine Spinoffs(Which they were unaware of at the time I suppose). And Two, Rogue should have had the proper powers and the proper accent. I don't care about the age.

Oh, and one final thing. Does anyone smell a possible spinoff for Angel? It would explain why they included him and his back story but barely used him, and the whole Apocalypse ArchAngel story would be great for a movie or 2. The Casting of the character also leads me to believe this.

I thought the movie was excellent, soooooo many people died in that flick...  Hollywood rarely ever honors the 'canons' associated with paper to screen type of delas, I thought it was better than X1, and tied for X2...

What happened at the end of the credits?

I walked out of the theater for X-Men 1. Never had plans to see the sequel. So when talk of yet another X-Men movie came up, let's just say my interest wasn't piqued.

I'm seriously having trouble how people can actually like this pile of horse shit. I saw X-men 1 and honestly didn't like it didn't feel like X-men wasn't bad wasn't good. Then I saw X2 and I could feel the characters and the X-men coming to life on screen. Then we have X3 where lets off a bunch of characters, cram as many characters as we can into the movie have two plots that just don't mesh well together and not develop any of the new hero characters except beast.

Seriously Colossus does fuck all this movie barely has any lines. Kitty Pride is no better. Wolverine seems out of place as the leader of the X-men when it should be Storm and Xavier even says its storm. Cyclops dies and no one seems to give a fuck hell he and storm have been there how long that was just lame. Sure the effects are cool and some of the fights are pretty good but overall the story just basically started running and just ran all the way to the end forgetting about developing characters or anything. It was stupid and I really wish fox had not dicked Singer around so we could have had an actually good movie.

Haven't seen X-3.  Liked X-1. Kinda liked X-2 (Nightcrawler rocked.....My favorite X-man)  Thought they got Rogue WAY wrong (when did she become this mousy little wet blanket?) Was really looking forward to X-3 until I heard that it wasn't going to have NC in it.

Okay... so I like that they took away Mystiques clothes when they made the movies... Hey... I'm a guy.... go figure.

X-3 looks like more of an action movie and not much brain work..  I'll rent it, but unless they make a X-4, I'll be asleep in the corner.

I heard a sort of prequel featuring Wolverine is in the works... Don't know what I think about that yet.

Same here. That cracked me up, I laughed so hard I had to pause the movie. Was pretty cool that they put that in. Its clear the director is a bit of an internett nerd. hehe.

Wolverine is the title of the movie. It has been confermed and Hugh Jackman is in it. Thank god.

Actually no. A friend of mine owns a private run movie theater. We (6 of us) were watching it alone in the theater after closing time (We do that pretty often, have beer and food and enjoy the night).

I laughed and laughed that everyone started paying attention to me cracking up. Eventually they had to stop and "rewind" the movie. I guess saying I "paused" the movie was missleading, but that was the easiest way to exsplain it instead of going through this whole story.

Well, I'm a fan of the comics and what not, I like X-men,
    and this was... okay.

I think it was better than X1 but worse than X2.  The story line, IMO,
could have been great, but was a bit rushed and awkward.  I understand
they were trying to squeeze in a majority of the mutants, but this kinda made
it choppy at places.  I'm not sure if this officially makes me
un-hardcore, but I liked the fact you got to see some mutants and you knew who
they were, without really being told.  Such as Psylocke, for instance, and
it didn't really bother me that they screwed up most of the powers.

Beast is one of my favorite characters, and I did like what they did for
him.  The fact that he actually said 'Stars and Garters' in an exclamation
made me about fall out of my seat with surprise.  I was also fond of the
ending, it reminded me of one of my favorite comics from X-men.

I think this movie was good... but it could have been extended, as far as time
and filming go, and been much better.  I'm not complaining though, I'd recommend
it to people.  Good movie, but it could have been better in my opinion.

As far as a Wolverine movie goes, well, that could be good,
I suppose.  Actually, did anyone hear
they might do a Magneto movie as well?
I think given the two, I’d rather see the Magneto movie, but of course I’ll
go see the Wolverine one too.

Anyone notice the box office that X-3 has gained?  Can you say X-4?

I really loved the previous movie but this one...

Pure garbage, I was looking forward for this movie since I saw X-Men 2, Brett Ratner and Co. shoudlbe put to shame.

It was clichés after each other, really stupid scenes/story.

It's something a child might enjoy with the effects and so, just another Tomb Raider movie...
