Im gon aplay POE next weekend in the new league and im gona look what warframes latest mission is about. This will keep my brain busy for 1-2 month and then i casualy play LOL but i keep loosing due to i get paired with bad players..im not pro my self but at least i dont disconnect or feeds intends or chat away like it was a chat room.

i also tryed some of the Battlefield games but they all sucks today..they did something to the engine that ruined these games and made em look like reskin games. So it dosent matter is they call it starwars or robotwars or startrekwars..its all the same shooter. Just new skins...wauv..

Has anyone ever taken many articles on this site seriously since the previous owners? I think older members care more about the forums instead of the actual articles that get posted, which is nothing wrong with that. Heck, many people only stay subbed to wow/ffxiv simply just to post on those forums.
I stopped taking it seriously MANY years ago. I have watched this site grow worse and worse. I've been here since its inception (though I didn't sign up the first month lol).
This site has gone through MANY phases. When it started out the community was a lot more fun. It was more diverse but we all had one thing in common: love for MMO's.
I recall when a female journalist died, that her mother within 2 months released a book to cash in on it. It was heavily advertised on this site. Anyone that criticized it was banned. Many people were upset about "how disgusting" this was. I kept quiet and didn't receive a ban. But I remember it happening.
Then came people like Narius who claimed all multiplayer games were now MMO's. And the mods not only thought this was okay, but they embraced it.
The site started adding any and all games to the MMO games list. There were 4 player games classified as MMO here. Diablo for instance was listed as an MMOARPG (Diablo 3 I believe). So its not just that they added all games to the list, they also misclassified them. There were even 2 player games categorized as MMO.
Bill Murphy, the former managing editor here also stated that "there is an argument to call league of legends an MMO"..... like wtf? No there isn't. 5 vs 5 gameplay is in no way massively multiplayer. And he made this comment on an article where the lead (Richard Garriot) for Ultima Online spelt out what an MMO is. Plus, if you know the english language there is no argument to pretend massively multiplayer is even 16 players lol. So if the lead of this website can't understand what an MMO is, how am I supposed to respect this site?
They also stopped moderating the forums too. There was a time when threads posted in the wrong section were removed, or moved. But then the PUB (discussion for MMO's) became a catch all. People can, and do post ANYTHING in the pub. Single player games? Sure. News on Intel chipsets? Sure. Never mind we have a general discussion board.
The mods are kind, I will give them that. Perhaps they aren't paid enough? Or at all? They aren't heavy handed. But I wish things ran more like they used to. Like, I got over the over abundance of ads. The amount is ridiculous. But I wish the site would return to its former glory. One where the site would make simple statements like "Path of Exile, World of Tanks and Destiny do not fit the definition of MMO", one where they don't write pieces on new games and mis-classify them themselves. I wish they would make people post in the right sub-forum.
In the end, I am just happy the site is still around despite most people I knew not coming around anymore. Im also happy the mods are kind. Maybe someday things will improve. But until then, I can't take shit seriously here.

I'm the developer of land of might (retro bullet hell browser mmorpg), and I find it insane that you're calling 30k active users "on life support" or maybe that's just my perspective. 30k active users means there are probably around 3k people on at a time. I would be shocked if I had more than 10 people in land of might's server at one time lol.
