IF I didnt know better I'd swear it was a screenshot from EQ in 1999. THe dated graphics and the forced group gameplay are two strikes against it before it has even stepped in the batters box.

Hey I can speak positively about ALL games. I might question something if they are stating something obviously not achievable (We will launch this in 2 years if we can reach that $45k goal). Also, I expect them to do what they say they will do. If they can't I expect them to explain why things changed. Honesty is big for me.

I have posted on this site many times an entire list of PVE & PVP games I thought were S & A tier games. And those lists are not even complete lists.

I think Project:Gorgon was a good example of a crowdfunded MMORPG that worked out. It got a little to weird for me but that’s ok. I think Albion Online was probably the most successful.
I think Pantheon will fail but think it’s good that they will let us test FOR FREE to see for ourselves.

Fair enough. It just read a bit hostile, like what does that have to do with the criticism which seems in line with most of the other comments.
I'll agree with Albion, but not PG. Albion is probably the best example of a decent well thought out indie multiplayer online game. They keep their P2W reasonable and fair and it's an overall solid experience. It looks good, plays decently, and has its own dynamic.
PG has ended up half-baked and run by community bullies with big egos. "Community Driven" is double-edged sword. Also the original ideas ended up distilling down to typical group driven dungeon content with a lot of very grindy crafting.
Agreed, it's good for any game to offer free demos or periodic limited trial access.

First off, I never said I was for PVE only.
I have been clear that an MMO should have PVE Server PVP Server PVP FFA Server
These are 3 separate communities of people, it makes no sense to put so much money building a MMO not to have a few ruleset settings so that these different groups can have a place to play.
I do think they should focus on the PVE side for content, because an amazing PVE game can become an amazing PVP game with just a few rule changes.

PVE Server
PVP Server
PVP FFA Server

Crowd funding has been shown poorly suited to MMOPRGs. It has been more successful with games smaller in scope so has some utility.
