What's the MMORPG you would NEVER play again (even if they pay you?). And I am not speaking only about the game itself, but also about the customer's support, the way companies are treating the player comunity.
To be honest, is there a mmorpg company with a flawless reputation. SoE, Turbine, EA, and Blizzard all have their critics. SoE changed around some of their games p*ssing of their regular subscribers. Blizzard have server queues, and also people have criticized their support. EA closed down Earth and Beyond. Turbine released an expansion for AC2 before announcing the next week or so they're closing down. Oh yeah Blizzard also locked servers so friends couldn't join their friends on servers. SoE said something about frogloks being ingame but weren't. If you listen to it all you just wouldn't play any mmorpg.
As to worst games, I guess the worst games I've tried have been Runescape, Dragon Raja and EQ2. Runescape, for obvious reasons. Dragon Raja for being badly translated and requiring you to click manically on a mouse to upp a skill, EQ2 for having bad art style and for being unfun.
DDO has to be the worst release since AO made its debut way back when. DDO is just such a piece of underdeveloped garbage that I can only ascribe the fact that it is still running to the stuborn obstinancy of folks that cannot admit when they have made a mistake and move on (I am speaking of the DDO FanBoi base). DDO is a rip-off, plain and simple. I would not put time into this POS even if they paid me to play it!
DDO is a great game I have been playing for 2 months and I'm very happy. You don't like it? Don't play it. Yes its an unusual game and have its problems but still is very funny.
My personal list of crappy games.
-RF Online. Imported grinding game from Korea with the bonus of a crappy company handling it. BORING as hell. (but pvp is pretty nice) -SWG right now. SWG was my favorite game for 2 years... but now... its just crap

The reason you on't like D&D Online is the absence of the PvP? or maybe the graphics?
Gotta throw Dark and Light in there somewhere, no?
My list:
SWG-Was never fun. Ok it was fun the first week or so it was up. But not much after that. It always felt more like a job than a game. The exploits and bugs killed it off for me.
AC-I just never liiked this game. I bought it, tried it, disliked it. I tried using my account again to give a second chance. Turbine basically told me I was SOL. Fine, don't take my money, I'm sure they don't need the subscriptions anyway.
EQ2-Boring game with horrible graphics. Plastic and brown about sums up the graphics there.
Games I'd never play again....WoW for being the most shallow and bland mmo on the market, SWG cause SOE can't make up their mind as to what they want the game to be.
All others I'd at least give another try to to see how they've changed/improved.
The Sims Online - played it for four hours, saw nobody else, did nothing in particular. Totally nothing game. Felt like I was playing a laggy single player game.
The ones I dislike has disappeared or are going off the market...
The ones I like hang in there...
Guess I have average taste
What I find more disturbing is the amount of games I wanted to play that never reached the market... and the load of junk no one wanted that was released.
Mythic
UO II or X or whatever its name
Dragon Empires
and so on and so forth
"This is not a game to be tossed aside lightly. It should be thrown with great force"
Worst mmos that I ever had the displeasure of experiencing:
RYL: This game is such ultra-crap I can't believe for the life of me that anyone would actually pay-to-play it. Ugh.
Mourning: Nice attempt by the handful of tireless programmers who put this game out, but it was released about 2 years too early, had major bugs, not nearly enough character animations, and got old fast fighting the same 8 monsters over and over and over. Hopefully this game will never see the light of day again unless by completely new management and/or a company that can actually afford to fund it and manage it properly with much better PR.
SWG: I bought this game, installed it. Then as a complete newb when I entered with no armor or anything and got into a gun fight with some other noob. After about 2 hours of shooting each other in the head and chest and neither of us were even half dead, I logged out and immediately uninstalled it for being absolutely ridiculous. No game should ever be released that could offer such a bland, boring, and uneventful fight in any way, shape, or form.

Originally posted by Jhughesy WoW - took MMORPG gameplay back in time. So much potential and offers such a limited style of gameplay. Auto Assault - fun for the first day and then feels like a single player game. Whatever happened to the virtual world concept?!
also wow - incredibly horrid customer support both ingame and on official forums. the entire gm/mod staff needs to be sacked, fired, then sacked again. plus all devs who have lied for the past couple of years about what the game is, and what it will be, and just keep on lying. liars should rot in hell both now and after death. i'm just the idea man, don't ask me HOW to do it.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
Face of Mankind - Was attracted to the game initially because it dared to be different. People complain about constantly getting PK'ed, but honestly I was more bored than anything else. Didn't like the graphics, didn't care for the community. Was also hoping from some decent RP and didn't find squat.
The Matrix Online - I played this game before SOE bought it and holy crap did it have problems. Rubberbanding to the extreme, missions so buggy you couldn't complete anything, and the Interlock system that was horrible when in a team (worked fine solo tho!). The only good thing about the game was that it had a fairly decent community and the in-game events were pretty fun. I was hoping that once SOE had it they would do something about the buggy missions and tweak the interlock system, but for a long while they didn't do a damn thing...oh but they did lay off all the in-game event folks *sigh* They did something finally (Combat Revision 2.0 or something) but I seriously doubt I'll ever go back to this game.
-------------- Played: Age of Conan, DDO, Saga of Ryzom, SWG, DaOC, MxO, EQ2, and so on... Wish List: Jumpgate Evolution, Star Wars: TOR, Star Trek
For me I would have to say that Runescape is the MMORPG I would never play again even if they paid me. It got boring to fast after a while and it just seemed to dull for me so I had to stop playing it upon reaching what I beleive lever ten or so. I truly saw no point to playing the game.
All Korean MMORPGs. Theyre all absolute shit and the same exact same thing packaged with a different name. What could POSSIBLY be fun about killing the same goblin 500 times just to level up and kill another 500 higher level goblins? I don't get it
Most games out there are really mmogs, not mmorpgs. It's not a knock on the games. That's just how it is. Either they are catering to the individual and small-group gamers (instanced quests) and PvE emphasis or they are gigantic slugfests (unrestricted PvP and to hell with anyone who say's 'hang on a sec')
In other words, most of the games currently active are no-go's from my perspective. I don't think they are bad games. I just wont go near them. At the bottom of the pile is Shadowbane. It's your basic slugfest masquerading as a role-playing game. I played the game for some time and actually I saw pretty much NO role-playing... even on the lore server. Shadowbane is the only game (at the moment) that I would say is BAD, because it is advertised as something it is most certainly NOT, a role-playing game with a rich lore and colorful background. It is not a role-playing game and the lore doesn't matter at all.
Beyond that, I dislike games that have such a narrow target market. Once you get tired of fighting in Shadowbane, what do you do? Go to another game. They tried to make the game about warfare, but it ended up about fighting, and worse, most of the people who play it don't even know the difference. It was the largest arena I have ever seen, but it's still just an arena. I prefer my games to have a point, not just a goal.
OTOH.. I would certainly play Shadowbane if someone payed me to do it. It would have to be MUCH worse before I would say "Keep your money."

Too many to list, so games i would play currently on the market, Ao, Ac, DAoC, Eq2, TSoR, the rest i would NEVER play again.

Auto Assault-Just yucky

"Whatever happened to the virtual world concept?!"
It got lost somewhere along the line.
The Sims Online - played it for four hours, saw nobody else, did nothing in particular. Totally nothing game. Felt like I was playing a laggy single player game.
The Matrix online.
Buggy, laggy, finished the content in 100 hours.
The way things are going with Dark and Light at the moment, it's a contender too.

For P2P, I´d like to add Dungeons & Dragons Online and Final Fantasy XI.
D&DO is just missing something, it sure as hell wasn't fun
I couldn't even play Final Fantasy XI. I hardly could get into a group at all, I had to wait 2~3 hours for maybe half an hour of actual playing.
Hands down: Star Wars Galaxies.
Doesn't matter what they do to that game, I'll never look at it again.

Funny that people list popular mmorpg with over 100k subs in them like EQ series,WoW,SWG.
This are actually good games compared to some freebies and even some pay ones like horizons, sims online RYL.
But guess its down to taste anyhow.
