    I swear, I remember something very similar to this happening just a few months ago.  Maybe I'm just imagining things though.

    I really feel sorry for the guy.  I wonder what was wrong with him.  Maybe he was schizophrenic or something.  I doubt that anyone would be sane and do something like this, right?

    Then again, there are these people at churches here in America that handle poisonous snakes and let them crawl around the church during services when small children are around.  They say that God will protect them from being bitten and that only non-believers need to fear the snakes. 

    I think there was an X-Files that had it in the script too.

    Did he really go to that ultimate length of death to prove God doesn't exist, or was he so blinded by faith that he thought a hand would reach from the sky to save him from getting mauled by a lion?

    He was an idiot that's what. That act is clearly suicide. He clearly went there under his own accord just to test God... God only has time for people that really need his help not people who would purposely put themselves in danger just to see if he's real.

    What if God was watching/lazy?  Or worst, what if God was evil?  I mean, Earth is a mix between Lemmings and Sims, but thousands time better...

    And we don't know, maybe God scan this man soul and figure it was better to just let's him die...we never know!

    Personnally, I would hope to feint if I am in such a situation, that is the best hope for survival and many persons who did feint actually survive such encounters.  Or I might bite the beast back, in the hope that I give it a lethal disease!

    Naw, he was off helping some Major League sports team win a game.  That's about the only thing that interests Him anymore.

    It's not proving anything, he was just commiting suicide. Like methane said, he's an idiot. If you littleraly(sp) put yourself in danger (for stupid reasons), you might not come back.

    Yes it is suicidal in this case Because in the report it states that This man Climbed down into the lion pit using a rope... then walked straight towards the lions and then asked for god to save him.

    It was suicide because he chose to climb down. He even brought a rope to climb down with. He chose to walk straight towards the lions and he chose not to run away or get away from the attacks... He actually chose to stand there and test god to see if God will save him from himself.

    That is the same thing as driving to the Golden Gate bridge. stopping the car.. getting out, walking to the edge, jumping off... and asking mother nature to make you evolve so you can fly....
