There - A User Created Metaverse

There describes itself as an everyday hangout. But I see it as much more then just a place to meet new friends online, I see There as potential and future Metaverse of sorts. I have been a member of There since April of 2004 and I have enjoyed every moment of my membership. Basically There is a user created virtual world. Almost everything from the activties to actual content is user created, but some was made by its developers. That is what makes There so great actually, the user made content. It adds depth and personalization to the world of There. The community within There is one of the best you will ever find. They are friendly and kind, willing to help out any new member any time. Those are two things that drew me to There, the creativity of the user made content and the community of There. I truly enjoy There and I would like to share it with you too. I'd love to show anyone around There who is willing to try it. Because I know that if you just give it a try you will most certainly very much enjoy it.

There is an experience to be had, but be warned There is unlike most other MMORPGs. There doesn't have much violence and you can't die. However, There does have paintball and some members actually enjoy running each other over with vechiles. That is another thing about There, the realism of the enviorment and physics. If you observe the movement of There's avatars you will notice how life like and responsive they are. Also There's physics are quite amazing, including the vechile physics. There is a canvas, but it is the job of There's members to paint the canvas. It is also your job to help the existing members of There build the future of virtual worlds and help make There into the Metaverse, which I know it is evolving ever more into. There is changing everyday and people are making new things every minute. There is an awesome place if you love exploring, building, or socializing. I simply enjoy There because of how almost anything is possible in-world and how I think There has incredible potential.

So why not experience this amazing world? I have, and I am incredibly happy I did. There is an incredible place filled with diverse and amazing things. You can explore, build, and meet new people while experiencing one of the most immersive and realistic virtual enviorments you can find. There is your canvas and it is up to you to paint it. Be a part of There's ever changing world and take part in There's growing economy. Build the future, and be a part of the future. If you don't help build There then who will in your place? No one, because it is up to you and all other There members. There is a gateway to the future. It is a next generation communication platform and the key to building and maintaining the idea of an immersive 3D Metaverse. Join me and help build that dream. Help build There and the internet's future.

    What are you doing back here with this There crap? We had a deal. I would try it and you would stop playing. I played it, it sucks, go away.

    Can't you people take a hint? You don't know what you are missing out on. You don't even grasp the idea behind There, the idea behind the Metaverse. You just arn't capable of the passion and creativity needed to be a long term member of There. I don't get it, why is there no one who meets those requirments here? I don't see how not one person here couldn't be social, creative, passionate, energetic, or fun-loving. Many people are like that, and I mean many people. There's community is composed of passionate and creative people. Those kinds of people have to be here and I think those creative and social people are perfect canidates for long term membership in There.

    There doesn't suck. I was wondering, have you considered it being your taste that sucks? Or maybe you just don't like being part of one of the most amazing projects on the internet. There is basically developing the Metaverse, its members are building the Metaverse. I don't see why no one would enjoy that, why no one would want to be a part of that. There isn't some hang out for anti-socials but in fact a world full of very social people. There is full of social events, including parties. Do you think anti-socials would want to host a party in a virtual world? I think not.

    People here can be social, creative, passionate, energetic, or fun-loving. But they play Second Life, a vastly better game.

    No, don't be silly. There would not turn you into a mindless tool. But There would turn you into a creative, social, and very energetic person. If you want to be that kind of person or already are I highly suggest you try out There. Seroiusly, I don't know what th problem with enjoying There is.

    Little bit of advice: attacking people because they don't play your preferred game only makes you lose credibility, and loses There respect.

    What makes Second Life better? It has no more potential then There, it has no more freedom then There and certainly doesn't have more members then There. What would you say to the fact that I switched from Second Life to There? No, I want to hear it. I'm guessing you'll say I am crazy. Well yes, when I buy virtual land for around 500 dollars and then Linden Labs says I never made the purchese I indeed would go crazy.

    Well I shouldn't have to attack them in the first place. Usually, I try to be nice in th beginning but people don't accept the obvious facts. Which is sure sad when they are right in front of ya. It is sure darn sad in my opinion. I mean people here would most likely say the sky is green if I said the sky was blue!

    Most people here on this forum don't accept the obvious even when it is staring them right in the face!

    No, I have no agreement with you. You admited that you didn't stay in There so why would I make another agreement with you? Maybe it wasn't part of the origional agreement but you certainly knew I would expect you to stay an active member of There. I'd also want you to enjoy it, but unfortunetly you did not. There for I will not take part in any agreement with you. Why should I anyway? So, you guys can see less good attention go to There? Heh, whatever.

There is a difference between advertising a product you buy in a store and a MMORPG.     Please don't use cap locks like that. You know it is not just annoying to me but most other people. Besides, lets try and stay on topic which is There. If you have an opinion post it, but have facts and reasons to back it up. Other wise it is a baseless opinion that really wouldn't hold up too well.

    Giving attention to all these other MMOs is as good as advertising as well. Which could be considered spam. Yeah, so what if this is a MMORPG site. There can be considered a MMORPG too. What is the problem with having multiple threads about There? Others have multiple threads about alot of other different MMOs too.

    I've played both. SL does have more freedom, in that you can create anything without going through a product submissions system. It also has scripting (although that leads to a lot of lag >.<). I think There is prettier graphically, though, and something about it feels more...polished.

    I'm not your enemy. I still love There. But I do suggest you think carefully about the advice I gave you.

    What is your problem? And why hide the children? I really and truthfully don't get some people. I mean the silly and rude comments simply do get on my nerves. They shouldn't be made anyway. People should be able to have a nice discussion about There without these griefers posting like this.

    Well once in There why goto Second Life? I don't get it, was it because of the Black Friday event? Well for your information that is over. There has changed hands and things are running smoothly again. Bug fixes are being made and product updates are coming alone just fine. Also, in the last beta test members found out new land was going to be added in one of the coming updates. There is PG-13 so the product submission system is needed. There is going to get scripting one day and I expect some kind of little in-world object editing tool one day as well. There is more polished as well. The people who worked on There's design were genius, pure genius.

    Also, if you are not my enemy why act like it? I love There too but anyone who ventures into Second Life sure is standing on a thin line, and it is easy to cross. I don't believe I read any advice you gave me. I'll have to look again tho. Also, you are a There player and I wonder why people don't jump on you.
