Comments
wait for the market to actually have a good MMOG to play?
I have the same problem, because I spend most of my time doing things other than grinding, and I don't switch games often. :P
I've heard Guild Wars has a short levelgrind.
I fail to see why this is a big problem, though...
...And the title makes me think of all those spam emails I get for Viagra and Cialis...

Help me help you.
Tell me why you never reach the max level.... is it because you lose interest in the game half-way, lack of time, or what?
To be honest, WoW is one of the easiest level to "reach the max level". If you still have a little interest in WoW, just play 1 hr a day and you'll cure this "problem".
I dont know what it is, but when I reach high level, I just feel like im going around wancking and doing nothing. Its like it feels pointless to continue, even tho I wanna feel the endgame of atleast one game
Guild Wars does has a very short level grind - The maximum level is 20, and in fact you can start a PvP player out of the box at the max level. If you decide to "level up" a PvE character, you will hit this maximum level very quickly by doing a relatively few quests or missions. Although you might think that once you hit maximum level you are done, in Guild Wars that's not the case, as the game is mostly about polishing your player skills, not level grinding.
Yeah, I have a level 20 in guild wars, but that took like 10 hours in game time.
And its like the levels dosent matter, it isnt a big part of the game
Yeah, and thats just silly.
Any one give me a good suggestion to a mmorpg, and ill try it today. P2P or free.
Well, what type of player are you?
Do you get burnt out fast on the game entirely?
DO you play every class to mid level and then give up feeling like you accomplished nothing in an attempt to actually see most of the game?
Etc etc, you need to explain that a little to get a good suggestion.
Okay, lets see.
Yeah, I do tend to play some few characters to mid level, untill you get to the barrier where leveling takes twice as long.
And Im a typical mage player, like to see the spell effects And if not a mage, Im a heavy tanker.
I play to the mid level of every game I play, and stop there. Thinking its pointless to continue, I just loose the motivation to continue, even though I want a taste of the end game so bad.
You ever try Saga of Ryzom?
You only need 1 character to experience bits of almsot everything since it is skill based. You can accomplish more solo in it than in most games (barring WoW and GW) but really revolves around 2+ players to exceed at anything quickly. A duo is my favorite sized group in Ryzom personally. Cop[mlex crafting lets you chosoe specific crafted items to really specialize your stats for your goal.
Not a game for everyone, but more than worth a good look.
Yeah, I tried it. But the community in it is to great.
When I got of newbie zone, a guy came up to me saying "It would be a shame to give this armor to the npc" and he gave me a top armor. So I thank him and move on.
I walk 30feets and a 39 year old woman message me asking if I want to come level. Even tho im low level, I decide to come. So I ended up come to mid part of the skills, and I had no idea where to go.
But now, I feel like playing it again :P
You realize how rare a complaint that is?
I actually had a similar issue initially, but tell people you are just trying to figure the game out and want to really learn the game people will let you be... mostly. But still expect to be asked if you have any questions frequently in the lower areas, which isn't a bad thign really but can become annoying.
Its amazing, the community is so nice its annoying sometimes.
You paly the game ?
Okiedokie, if you have any other mmorpg suggestions just come with them.
Thats probably true. Thats why WOW is out of the quation.
Got any good suggestions ?
one thing i can say to level to end area
always group, group and group in a MMo for end area
otherwise you loose inetrest when you on your own alot = same thinsg over and over.....
Have no fear, Xru is here.
I understand completely, also a Ryzom player and realised I'll never reach the cap limit. Because since I can do anything, I tend to try everything instead of specializing. After my 8 months in the game my level is embarresingly low in my best skill, and now I found new love in another skill.
But it's not a problem, MMORPG for me is not about completing the game, but to have fun playing.
Comment of the year
But still, Wouldnt you like to see the endgame content once ? I was thinking about starting DAoC again, its fairly easy to level to 60. But your not done at 60 :P
but end game in most is so dull once uve capped its really not so much fun WoW for instance is either 4 hour raids which ae dull or erm well thats it....
Neppe.. got one for ya.
Asheron's Call. You got 275 levels to climb though. But if you make it, you can definately say that you have maxxed out on one of the highest levels of all mmos and likely obtained the most experience of ANY mmo. You'll have earned some 75,000,000,000 (75 billion) experience or so. lol.
It's calling. Will you heed the call?

To be honest there is nothing wrong... absolutely nothing at all wrong with how you play. There is absolutely no need to reach max level in any game who's end game is just more PVE. Why? Because no matter how you slice it the PVE at level 30 isn't all that different from the PVE at level 60...70...80... whatever. It involves pretty much the same tactics... the same process... etc... In most MMO's it only means it takes longer to kill Mob X than it did to kill Mob Y at a lower level.
Now... in some MMO's the end-game is VERY different from the 'level up' process.
Guild Wars end game is PVP
DAOC end game is RVR
AO end game is Factional PVP
etc.
Unfortunately in most of the NEW MMORPG's the end game is raiding... not sure why that made a huge resurgence but it's a fact.
I'd recommend trying a more skill based game than what it sounds like you've tried.
Give EVE, Ryzom or AO a whirl... they're more skill oriented (though Ryzom and AO do have levels involved) and their end-games aren't PVE oriented. (well... I'm not sure WHAT Ryzom's end game is... I wasn't that into it). But it sounds like you want to try a game that's a little less conventional where the end game isn't just 'more of the same'. Those games provide that.
Good luck!
