I visited the site out of curiousity and, apparently, they sold the engine and game skins to a differen company who are now turning it in to "Thrones of Chaos". Personnally, I think it is a lie and that it is the same old guys trying to hide who they are to try and get people back to trust them and sell them more garbage.

no it isnt. they just moved them to their own servers and are redirecting. personally i dont think the old people could of even put a website like together. hehehehe

Absolutely the EXACT SAME TEAM with new names.
This crap is getting so old, and so ridiculous that it's actually getting funny. Oh boy.
I followed Mourning for a long time.
And I would be willing to bet a WHOLE LOT that: Draakan = Adonys
The English of "Draakan" is almost 100% identical to the old Adonys. I mean almost to the "T".

Here some answers for youre questions:
1. Throne of Chaos is based on the code of RoT/AoM, so the gameplay will be very similar to the old game. Some things of the code will be thrown away, but the main things will be as they were. Some new things will come up and some features mentioned in the interviews will make their way into the game. What these features are, we will exactly know perhaps in 4 month , maybe earlier.
2. Loud Ant and Nuanced are both from US. Noone of the old team is in the new dev team, they only will consult the new team, because they do know much more about the Abyssal Engine than the new team.
3. I have no answer for it, so we have to wait and see I think

gamigo.de is a good company and also do run some games, the germanfan shattered galaxy they run for example. as a dutch player i did test it early on.., very cool customer service!

yes owners, money wise its the same and therefore THEY really need to convince US the community that its improving and have some payback for those who xxxxxxxxx...
i always willing to give those willing to improve things a change liek Horizon on new ownership, but Throne of Chaos has to do much much more....

1) Why would you EVER pay anything for a game with such a horrid reputation as Mourning had? Any amount of money would likely be too much and a losing up-hill battle.
2) Why even if you did buy the old game, and are a different team... Why would you treat people on your website from day one exactly as the old Mourning team did? That's just un-thinkable. You ban and delete ANY thread that simply asks understandable questions on your forums rather then handling them with mature, solid answers. What in the hell are you so scared of?

hard to explain .. but mourning was a bit like teh biggest scam operation in mmo area (or unprofessional company members?) where a lot of customers got more or less screwed....
even our beloved website crew mmorpg.com got in a clinch..lol.. they were wise and dropped mourning from there list and such...
so lets not get the old cow back but if throne of chaos wants to become ..xxxx well they need a lot to do to the community as a whole..

There's a big thread on mourning in this board that gets bumped once or twice a week, search for it or keep an eye out for the next time someone posts to it. It started off with the Mourning devs being complete jerks on their message boards (like banning people for asking basic stuff about the game), then threatening to sue people for saying anything remotely bad about the game, then pulling some kind of scam with preorders (IIRC they billed people the full price and sent them a hand-burned CD in an envelope), then threatening to sue people for talking about that, then trying to get MMORPG.com to give up names of posters and being threatening asses about it, then when thee mourning forums and pages were yanked from this site trying to say it was at their request, then probably some other stuff. It's not just one thing that they did, they really worked hard to get as disliked as they are.

Typing in German means nothing, I know people from New Ulm that have immaculent German, but have never left the state of Minnesota. My god, I can type in English! Yet, I wasn't born in England! Wait, I wasn't born in USA either!
I really don't think the MMORPG community wants to hear information from a group working on anythign minutely related to the Mourning scam. I may be wrong, but why not poll it.
