Top Reasons to Play Roma Victor

There are many reasons to choose Roma Victor as an MMOG for long-term play; especially for adults.

What is your main reason?  If not listed, then reply.

    Non-Linear sandbox

    Twitch combat

    Realism

    .. Those are my reasons.

AS it it my main concern I selected no monthly fees. However, that does not mean that I do not like the game for other reasons.

Actually, in a way, "virtual world" covers many of them.

Roma Victor is not EA mythic.  Roma Victor is independant.

This could very well beat Mythic's games. non hp based fighting sounds good to me! the pvp factor is what draws me in, and the idea i can buy currency, legally, means i won't have to farm cash day in day out. and the lack of "uber" equipment means I won't have to farm that either.

the ability to actually injure and disable an opponents body parts should bring some interesting pvp. can you say Kneecapped with a crossbow?

social interaction above and beyond "WTS/WTB/LFG" is ALWAYS A GOOD THING.

to be able to lead an army, or at least be a part of an army is grand. and since you go to the afterlife and gotta make your way back to earth, that means no spawn zerging! also no mages showering the field with magic that blows you away, but spares the mages friend, who was standing right next to you.

player run villages are cool, too. if you can launch a raid against other people's villages, that would be awesome.

I can already see that there will be a VERY good community backing this game. As I've said for other games, the game's setting can influence a community GREATLY. look at WoW, its nothing more than a grindfest set on easy mode. no wonder you get a lot of fool punks and leetspeakers.  the mechanics of the game will most likely drive off the regular "leet" gamer who grinds for months on end for a carrot on a stick that gives his mount +5% to run speed.

    all the above reasons :)
while participating in the commrecial test, it showed "greatness" in all factors :)

No monthly is a biggy for me as well.  But even more important than that?  NO FRIKKIN ELVES.  I am tired of magic this, and magic that, could care less about killing Kobolds, detest elves, and unless the dwarves you are talking about are actually midgets, get them away from me.  You can tell that I have played "a few" mmo's in my time.  It is about time for something new and different.  I think that RV will fit the bill.

Agreed, I did not even want elves when they first started climbing out of the trees to play MMOGs.

The no monthly fee part is good for me :)

But I like the PvP and crafting in the game, they're different (and better) from any other game I've played.

LOL, skilled pvp is quite a bit of a stretch.
  • sempiternalsempiternal Member UncommonPosts: 1,082
No it's not.  PvP in RV requires both game skills and player skills.

I would however enjoy some form of half man half snake that has 14 arms, a lions mane, and a HUGE wang.  I dunno, guess I am funny like that.

None of that crap in RV.
