There is no "good" game out there right now!!?!?!

I played WOW for about a year, finished the game and then quited it.

Played AO for 3+ years, finished that game as well, would still play it, but the servers are a ghost town now.

I tried Guild Wars, and it didnt have a MMORPG vibe to it at all. Very boring.

I played tons of Free Trials and Free MMORPGS, like RF, Flyff, Saga of Ryzom, Daoc, planet side ... nothing feel remotly interesting.

Ive played so many Korea/Asia games. They are all the god damn same system. Grind, reach lvl 10, choose a class, grind, continue nothingness ....



Is there really no FUN game out there any more?

All the game I see are old fart ideas from 6 years ago.

I really want to play a MMO with great Trade Skill system and twinking system like AO, easy and thought threw playing system like WOW, is there no game that spark some interest in me any more?

    EQ2 has a pretty good crafting system and ability to twink. Not has good as you could in EQ1 though. Is it fun? I guess that would be your opinion. I would have more fun if my friends still played it but most of them quit gaming.

    Anyways, they have a pretty solid trial that gives you a good feel of the game. Both in adventuring and crafting. Give it a shot if you don't find anything else.

    Hehe im thinking the same way as you realy, After quiting WoW becuase i overplayed it, and eventualy got bored, theres just nothing to play on that can keep my attention for longer than a week realy.

    I just hope some of these new games like Lold of the rings, Age of Conan and Warhammer come out within the next few months so i stop downloading all these asian grind fest clones.

    Ah well back to playing BF2 while i wait, doesnt compare to a mmorpg though :/

    SCO - Space Cowboy Online isn't like the typical Korean MMO, although it is Korean.  It looks like a game developed by a big Japanese developer like Konami or something.  I've dropped most my other MMOGs for this game now.  http://sco.gpotato.com for the download and info.

    Warhammer looks great but dont worry i feel like u too tried tons of MMORPGS and more online crap but they kinda waste my life. YEs warhammer is not made yet but im trying to spred the word that its not gonna be a WOW clone actualy warcraft humans and orcs kinda was a CLONE from the first warhammer. Well im just gonna wait till 2007 hopefully i can survior until something good comes out or WH heh i love that game.

    Yes, warhammer looks really awesome. I just hope its not another EQ2 where you need a really good graphics card to actually play it! But even once it comes out I am probably going to wait a couple months until they stabilize servers and get the basic bugs out. I wish I could play the beta just to see how it is too just to see if it is any better then WoW. I mean WoW is fun but it is way too repetitive and time consuming once you hit 60 unless you PvP. But once you hit max rank and get a bunch of BWL gear then what?
       I Have played most games too and found them to be somewhat boring in some way. But all games just suck you in even if they suck and keep you playing them for massive amount of hours logged like EQ, and WoW. (which both are natorious for being soo addicting) So I am probably going to take a break from MMORPGS until some actually good games come out and have others try them before I waste money on the game and montly fee! Also I have been looking up on Diablo 3 but no idea when that comes out...

    agreed, the OP must have selective vision... now that the fr00bs are on, there are TONS of players. I have a hard time finding things sometimes because all the fr00bs stand in my way ::::15::

    i agree with the topic starter, i been looking to a new game to get into lately, but seems that theres nothing really out there worth playing. im still playing WOW, but its just not the same type of fun it was a year ago. even console games aren't looking interesting at this moment. looking forward to final fantasy XII, but thats still couple months away. been playing alot of old school games on my ds to fill my gaming needs. lotta ff and super mario games.

    To the OP, sounds like you need some EVE. Sounds pretty much like what your asking for. I didn't last past a month, as I didn't care for the advancement.. But if you havn't, should give it a try. Certainly know the pain of not being able to find "the one".

    u got give EQ2 or EQ1 a try ..and wait for better game to come out there 4 games in my mind which i think one of them at less will be good  " Vanguard / AOC/WAR/GOD and  heros "

    I feel like u im not playing a mmorpg right now because i dont like any i feel like all mmorpgs out there are crap and dont add anything new to the genre

    Ppl keep naming Eve Online, cmon that game is bad bad, it is a ship u cant even drive, with a pretty static background is so pathetic, u cant even get out of the freaking ship i mean CMON

    Im thinking about trying EQ2

    I agree with you. All this talk about EVE and Saga of Ryzom. Gimme a break guys. Both those games suck and suck bad. I've tried EVE three times because of people talking me into it and every time I got bored quickly. Saga of Ryzom was just another grind fest and got old fast. It's just the same old crap.

    Now people are resorting to Korean MMO's? Are you freakin' serious?

    I'd rather lick broken glass.

    Damn was going to suggest CoX but u want a pointless timesink crafting system huh? damn it doesnt have that, after 2 years of it tho I am looking for something else also and WoW has all the appeal of an obnoxious teenage cousin coming over for the yearly xmas party....i.e something I can do without, was getting very excited about hearing someone had taken up the Warhammer franchise as its got great backstory and atmosphere but it sounds like they plan on making it way to bright & shiny to remain true to its heritage & with a deliberate focus on PvP....damn here comes that annoying cousin again.....IS THERE ANYTHING OUT THERE? EQ2 tried it, had none of the fun of there original, WoW as mentioned I thinks its a bit jejune...plus hated the franchise since WC3, EVE? been said b4 * I back it up...even free it isnt worth the time, DDO well just not enough scope, GW well it isnt an MMO...not quite sure what it is but it doesnt feel like an MMO, SWG...heh ur joking right...other than an attraction for those that like the Movies why would u bother & sorry had my fill of SoE after 4 years of EQ..............................I am so freaking BORED!

    what r u talking about if you have a high lvl you can find out where evry one is their defending their terrotories from other plp! but on topic try turf battles.

    Their really is no 'awsome' game out.  Everything is stale.  that is why everyone is waiting for the next wave of MMORPG's to come out.  Whether that be the hardcore pvp'rs in War.  The hardcore grinders in Vanguard, the super casual in Conan, or the fun type in Hero's Journey.  Your best bet is to wait.

    By the way.  I gave EVE an honest trial.  It isn't that great.

    War rock sucks.

    There really isnt anything worth playing these days. and the thing is, all the new MMOS are all gonna come out the same time, everyone just gonna be scattered trying to figure out what to play next. Every game comming out looks good.

    Personally i am looking forward to heros Journey. Because vanguard looks like warcraft with better graphics, using the same old tired grind system. And age of conan and warhammer look like games that would just use their names alone to attract fans, but the overall game play will be terrible.. just like dungeons and dragons online.

    Wish some betas would open up so i could find something to pass the time. I as well, just stopped playing warcraft, and i playeed everquest 2, RF online, cabal online,city of heroes, villains. Pretty much everythingout there right now.

    I agree with you so much, im one of the many millions of people like you looking for a came that fits the bill. SWG before NGE was amazing and would of been great till they changed it all. A totally new built UO would be amazing to. Nothing out there matchs up. Like you i have played many games but non have the feel of a real online world. lets hope one apears soon.

    Try playing Everquest 2: Trials of the Isle, I have that game is it's quite good, they have a great crafting mode that puts in a good challange for those crafters, and there combat mode is like WoW. Quest in the game are quite good as well, you earn some good armor that you cannot buy from (in npc places). Try out that game, at least once.

    I'm in the same shoes. I play WoW but I'm only SETTLING for WoW 'cause I've TRIED everything... Coincidence that I too came from AO??.. I think not! Everything's a let down since that game. I was an AO junkie back in the day.. It was great; It's just aged to me now.

    Could it be that the summer is here and all the games stink?

    I mean there is no real urge to sit down by the comp on a hot summer night. Well... as long as $OE holds on to their NGE concept.

    We should start a post demanding the developers to look into other ideas and stay away from WoW-concept. And also tell them to stay away from realworld sizes. I would definetly try Roma Viktor, if their world hadn't been real size.

    Like the first post said, oh well back to BF2 *sigh loudly*

    It's a nice thought, really.. But developers will continue to listen to the money.. Not satisfying the desires of those of us who appreciate delving deeper into the intricacies of a game unlike the mass majority. Blizzard will continue to enjoy 5 million steady subscribers to their casual world of warcraft. I could only imagine other companies are keeping a steady eye on them to learn what to 'do right'.
