Your right there isn't jack shat out now. I played eq2 for the longest time awesome game but got sick of raiding in KOS. Played wow in beta and played to 60 in retail.. Another great game but got bored with that too. Between eq2 and wow i think I like Eq2 better.
There are some sweet games coming out though in Q4 and Q1. I for one will be getting PSO Universe, Vanguard, London Hellgate and Huxley all these games look f'ning awesome. Vanguard is your tradtional mmorpg but the other games are differant then your tradtional eq style mmorpg. I think it wll be nice, I am getting sick of eq style mmorpgs. Been playing them to damn long.
Ps: SWG is adding a new expertise system to jedi and BH's I might check that out and see if it anything like the old jedi system. Long live MSD MSL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I play EQ II and just reopened my EVE account. both to me are fairly fun. For EQ II i recommend getting in a good guild!! Makes a huge difference! Also EQ II worlds are populated :-D Tons-o-quests.. And can be quite challenging. Youll understand why EQ II players have some grief over WOW. I used to play WOW, but 5 level 60 3 TII epics and 2.5 years is enough!!

its just that every other mmorpg has seen WoW and GW success and they try to copy their genre by just adding a few more things, changing some things.. and just change the way it looks.. when in reality its just the same Eq, Q, Wow, GW, medieval, fantasy type mmo's which i am already FED UP with and just had ENOUGH of this...
i guess theres no decent enough company out there with the guts toi create a very different genre of mmorpg... and to think of it, please.. korean developers.. stop and try to change the way mmorpgs are made in your contry because a lot of korean games looks good.. but the GRIND GRIND GRIND is putting us off... and its just horrible in the end
If id had it my way.. id be pushing to develop a gundam type of game... GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! GUNDAM!!! just imagine the limitless mods you can add.. the quality of the guns, the sabers, thrusters, armor, paint, look, and the type of gundam... my god my god.. how can developers not notice this...
ArchLord looks good but I have a bad feeling its just gonna be a big azz grind fest like Lineage II was. I hope I am wrong but I doubt it. WIth a level cap of 100 its just going to be your typical Korean grind fest. Maybe I can get in beta and be proving wrong.

I really haven't played WoW that much and haven't played any PvP games mostly FvP the one I really like is Martial Heros. but I do have some information of possiblity of very good mmos coming out in the giving future. a company Red5 was origanily 5 members from blizzard that were part of the development of WoW and staff is growing daily, they purchase the rights to ProjectOff Engine which is one of the greatest engine in develpmentand made a mmo agreement with Wzen. so I'm thinking that there new mmo is going to have next gen graphics and really cool gameplay because of the pple that founded the company but I have no information what this game is going to be about.
also have another one called Shenmue Online made after the shenmue seriers for the dreamcast. it has the greatest graphics I have ever seen for an mmo and its going to made after sega, under digtal rex and joycity, hehe also by the founder of VFighter for the saturn so could only imagine what this game is going to play from what I know its possable to chose from 2000 charcters with slight varations takes place in the 1980 in china and japan its a martial arts game with over 150 quest and fighting moves. here some links to some of the graphics

I quitted playing WoW just 2 months ago, after being bored of the same things day after day once you have got all your epic gear and finished all the instances, since pvp system is stupid.
Bad news is that there is not any good game by now. Conan and WAR are probably the best solutions, but.. meanwhile? what will we do? playing betas?

I think Fury is going to be the game of the year in 2007, even though it has no real roleplay in it. People are going to love the pvp system they have created for tons of fun!!!

i ve spent over 3 years on AO and it s an awsome mmo. My first love and whatever i try to play i always end up going back on AO. But when Tabula Rasa comes out..(if it ever does) i ll have to try it out. Might be a real surprise noone is expecting.

I agree with you. All this talk about EVE and Saga of Ryzom. Gimme a break guys. Both those games suck and suck bad. I've tried EVE three times because of people talking me into it and every time I got bored quickly. Saga of Ryzom was just another grind fest and got old fast. It's just the same old crap.

Hehe...well put. I too, agree with both of you. Saga of Ryzom? Puh-leez. The community is average in the noob area, but leave and it's pretty devoid of life. And you'll end up fighting versions of the same thing you did in the noob island anyway; endless crustaceans and insect mobs...like that's really difficult to model in a game. It had some good ideas with the spell customization and crafting, but the game is just uninteresting. Plus, turn off that damn universal chat if you ever want to have a moments peace. It was a grind, but NOTHING like the Korean mmo's grindfest.
And yes, if someone is looking to go to a Korean mmo, they just took a big step downnnnn. Can you all say "cookie-cutter?" Yawn.

So many games, none worth the effort. I even tried playing AC1 after 5years and I have to say the graphics looked so crappy in today's standard that i gave up in afew days. I even went back to MUDDing! With the way things are going on, the best bet would be to wait for WOW's expansion instead.
To the OP: yes, games can be completed, thats why WOW needs the expansion so badly.
