If you had to choose between one of these two companies to make an mmorpg, which one would you pick? I would have to go with EA since they've merged with Mythic and Origin, my favorite mmorpg creators.
There are two kinds of mmorpg players...
One kind is the hunter,
The other is the hunted.

I chose SOE cause when they ruin their games they dont actually take them offline for good. EA on the otherhand ruin the games and the company that made them then take them offline. Also the fact they ruin all their games but did still have sims online still up and running? There is no way that game had more subs than any of the other ones they took offline.

um... both companies are horrible but I would choose EA just because I think what SOE did to SWG was wrong and EA hasnt done that yet.
SOE. I still enjoy both EQs. EA on the other hand is about as much of a hard-nosed, money grubbing company you can get. Their MMO business model would probably include monthly mandatory expansion packs and petitioning the US patent office to allow only them to produce MMOs in the future...from which they would shut down after 2 years.

but I know EA,they make those games that are available in Gameboys and some Sports like Need For Speed..and Harry Potter The Goblet of Firew GBA SP..

SOE...they can actually announce games, and then make them and release them to the public, not like EA who announce stuff, build 90% of it, hype the world up and then nix the project.
EA sucks - they need to sell Origin back to someone so we may see some innovation in gaming once more. "We Create Words"...and they weren't kidding.
if anything sony just runs a skeleton crew for the games that aren't doing well but they have yet to shut a game down, EA has a proven track record of shutting games down ex: Earth and Beyond, SWG Japan it seems everything EA touches gets shut down, it seems everything SOE touches gets nerf'd down...can't say i would play either of them...

SOE, while they have made mistakes, have made some good, solid MMO's. Unlike EA, who have simply bought out companies that have already done all the hard work, then proceeded to destroy the game they worked so hard to create.
You didn't fix shit. My post as written stands. As far as MMORPG's go (what this forum is about, mind you), EA are renown for cancelling stuff. Two UO sequels ring any bells with you?
They need to get out of the MMORPG business and go back to what they actually do best: make sports games.
