I'm guessing it'd involve a terrific physics engine, along with metrics that tracked the balance between the "sliding" and "climbing" skills. While I'm sure the pvp system would be *alright, it probably wouldn't have anywhere near the intensity or gore of Candyland Online; you haven't seen "nasty" until you've seen someone decapitated with **saltwater taffy.
*With the patented "Scoot 'n Drop" system, people on ladders can jump onto people on the slides; people on slides can slam into people at the bottom of ladders.

Hmmm... How about "The Endless Turning of the Tides: The Game With a Title That Is Too Long and Has a Colon In The Middle Because Everyone Knows Colons in Titles are Cool"?
Actually, I really like one or two word names. And if it is a two word name, the second word should NOT be "Online".

Thats some good pvp right there, people on slides slamming into people at the bottom of ladders. Ohhh how about road rash online, i know i'd play that for sure
If it were based on games from way back when, then it would be an all-out pvp with bikers just beating the hell out of each other. I guess you could upgrade your leather jackets and weapons... if you want to make it more rpg-like.
Of course this would not be the BEST name for a game, but it does have a certain ring to it:
"Korean Grindfest."
This is how the game would be designed: there is no character customization, and only one class, and that is the "Clone". There is no character naming option. It would have no movement controls, just a single attack button (or you can just use the auto-attack feature if you choose to buy the game, rather than using manual clicking which comes with the free version), and upon coming into the game you're immediately beset by continuous PvE mob spawns which provide you no experience. You may purchase armor, potions, weapons and other items (using your credit card) from an online store to prolong your life while the mobs continue to beat upon you incessantly, and your attacks are only a delay your eventual demise (and yes, you are allowed to purchase items while fighting). Upon dying, you are taken back to the character creation screen to choose the "Clone" once again. Repeat as needed. Chat consists of just the following two channels: Spam channel and ALL CAPS channel. The PvP version is the same as above, except instead of PvE mobs you have players spawn in the same location.
Note: before anyone flames this, it's just some harmless playing around and not to be taken seriously...ok?

Korean Grindfest: online, would be tonnes better. But it sounds like a really interesting game, with a huge amount of depth. It would be clear the developers had put a lot of thought into it and aren't in it for the money at all.. oh no. Fantastic... i'd buy it
Nexus, the Kingdom of the Winds is one my favorites as well. Just something about it that rings of classic RPG without being too cliche with the "Online" extension in the name.

Actually this game title does not fail. On the contrary, it's probably a game with one of the more accurate uses of the word "online" in relation to mmorpg's, because Warhammer's current form is that of a table-top miniatures wargame. Having originated from a tabletop medium with a limited scope that only a few of your friends can play at a time, it's now expanding to a greater audience by way of the internet. So you have Warhammer offline...and now you have Warhammer Online. Of course the differences are obvious...no miniatures to paint, for one!
The word "online" in game titles has been done to death that's for sure, but in this case it's more appropriate than with most games that have used it; it's accurate, albeit perhap a bit cliche. However, dismissing the game simply for its use of the word "online" is rather lame. No one says you'll have to play it, because you sound like you're not a fan of the Warhammer universe anyhow.
I've heard of people judging games for gameplay, graphics, customer service (or lack thereof)...but never for a game title. This is absurd.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

We are talking solely of their titles. I think the games looks fantastic and once upon a time I was a bit of a Warhammer 40K fanboy. I am not judging the game at all. Only it's title. And I agree with you that it's making it clear that the game is online and is changing format blah blah... but you are missing the point of this entire topic. To comment on the game's names:
Warhammer = Franchise done to death in many different game genres
Online = More often than not, signals an Eastern Grind fest.

Since there were 9 offline Ultima games before hand, it makes sense that they added an 'Online' to the title so that players would buy the game, knowing it would be played online.
