The thing that EQ2 have and not Wow in my honest opinion! EQ2 have allot for the average player and not all raid stuff like wow when u have lvl 60 there is only raids next u haven’t any for the middle guy and that u have in EQ2 and u have a mature player bass!
I have played wow and I don’t like PVP I am a PVE guy! And it’s a game u can quit fast lvl to 60 whit out doing any grouping!
EQ2 u can do the same but it’s going to take some real effort and take some nasty time to do it!
about buying thgame bro just get the box set and install it and for yer monthly sub choose station pass or acsess or whatever that is, as this will include a slew of other games from soe and will also allow the download of all 3 adventure packs as well as any in the future that will come w/o haveing ot miss out on any.
Perhaps some of you are correct. Low levels can't fully enjoy the game.
When first playing this game at levels 1-8 I felt rewarded every single time I dinged. I would get a spell that would actually help me out.
Why not make 500 levels and let people ding 2 times in 5 hours?
There is no grinding in this game. You 'HAVE' to do quests in order to get exp. I would kill a mob at my level and watch my exp bar go up 1%
There was nothing Convenient about this game. Alot of travelling from one place to another.. Why is there no broker in Antonica, or Tradskills instance? Nor is there either of these in NQ or SQ..
There is no Global chatting to keep me entertained enough to want to sit there for ten hours trying to grind one level for all day long.
Barely any character customization. I think I got to choose from a list of which direction I wanted to take my character 2 times, once in character creation screen (good or evil) and once when I passed level9 artisian.
I guess when it boils down to it I need a Sandbox type game. Not one that is on a predetermind track, If it's taking me to where It wants me to go, then what is the point in spending my time?
However I must say, they did a good job with the Trial of the Isle to get people hooked. It worked on me. =
I hate WoW and it's fast levelling so I'd really rather not have the extra levels. I also dislike grinding. I like questing.
There are brokers in the tradeskill instances. Immediately after you enter the instance, turn right. The broker is right there. There's also brokers in NQ and SQ. If you don't know where something is, click on a guard and type "broker" or "mender", etc, if you want to find one. The guard will point the direction and you can follow the glowing yellow "ribbon" to the location of the NPC.
You don't have to grind, play the quests. The game is called "everquest" for a reason.
It's not a predetermined path, you can choose what you want to do.
J0ni, I think you've made your choice when you don't even really know the game yet.
I just logged in and checked the broker and I made 3 gold+, from selling things to players that I cannot sell to NPC..So that was a good thing.
Tonight I tried many other game trials as well.. I honestly think that Eq2 is perhaps my only option. Until a new MMO comes out.
I will continue to use up my free month in EQII And if I am addicted and having fun by the end of that time and no other 'better' games come out I guess I will buy more time in EQII.. I will ask more questions when I am stuck with things or frustrated as well..
