Well all new SOE game cards have it listed. Not sure if the old ones will work or not but if game card really is your only option (if you're iffy about CC details online) then it'd probably be best to either find a newer card or contact SOE support and ask if the old ones will work.

If you're ok with CC details online the best way is just sign up for a one month CC subscription (same price as a gamecard) then decide if you wanna keep going or not.

Where would I find these new SOE game cards?
  • SkyJackalSkyJackal Member Posts: 390

At a store which has the new ones in stock?

  • WarmechhWarmechh Member Posts: 126
I checked. None of them had any of the new SOE Game Cards. Lol. This is hell lmao

Well, if it helps convince you any, i use CC payment and its perfectly secure. lol.

But i understand if you dont wanna.

As for the old cards working or not, try SOE email support.

Alright I emailed them. It seems pretty idiotic to not sell a Matrix Online game card in stores though. And I just found out the old SOE Game Cards dont work if the game isnt listed on it. So now where do I get these new soe cards? :(
  • SkyJackalSkyJackal Member Posts: 390

Through the SOE online store? But that requires CC details, which kinda defeats the point. lol.

Though i suppose it makes sense if you're getting it as a present for someone else.

You could always try getting a mate whos doesn't mind paying online to get ya one then you pay em back.

This is f'ing frustrating. They advertise you can get the soe card for the game but they dont have it in f'ing stores. How the hell is a person like me going to pay for it now? :(
  • SkyJackalSkyJackal Member Posts: 390

Well, to be perfectly honest dude, wanting to play an online game which requires monthly payments while afraid to actually pay online is always gonna be difficult.

Seriously, just use your CC. Nothing bad will happen. No crazy hacker will steal all your money. No internet worm or other ungodly creature will raid your bank. Just sign up, try the game, see if you like it, if yes then keep paying, if no then cancel.

You're just making it harder for yourself.

Sorry if that came across as harsh but it is true ya know.

I don't have a credit card I can use thats in my name. So my only other option is to get a game card =/
  • SkyJackalSkyJackal Member Posts: 390

And you don't know anyone willing to pay for you online then you pay em back offline?

Then im afraid this game is out of your reach my friend. At least until your area gets the new SOE cards in stock.

Heh. I still think its bs for SOE to do that. Now they just lost out on another customer. They should at LEAST have a game card in stores that supports MxO
  • SkyJackalSkyJackal Member Posts: 390
They do. Just not in your area.

I've checked on Best Buy, Gamestop, EBgames, Wal-mart, you name it. None of them advertised the new SOE Game Cards.

In regards to the other thread, this is one of the reasons why mxo isnt doing well. No marketing. This random guy likes the look of the game but has to go through so much hassle to try it. .. ... (using a credit card would be so much eaiser btw lol)

You can pay for just MxO or you can pay for a station pass which includes planetside, swg, mxo etc etc. Cant help you with the game cards im affraid, for one i live in the uk and use a switch card ;/

You could post in the redpill section of the data node 1 fourms ( www.thematrixonline.com ) and ask for assistance there. The one good thing about having a small community is that the devs are very responsive, have a look for the ask the mxo devs a question thread to see what i mean.
