Well, I'm done with my year of vacation school and I'm going to the Air Force Reserve. It's pretty much time to start my journey now. I want to redo my SAT's and then do the ASVAP(sp?) then I'll head to the Air Force. In nine months, I'm supposed to be meeting the girl that fell in love with me over the phone/internet (I gotta stop giving my wisdom over these devices lol). If most of you remember, I was one of the ones that slighly didn't beleive in love over the net and phone...but now I think maybe it could happen, although I don't know if I love this girl yet, but as friend yes. I take the term pretty serious.
In maybe 3 or 4 years of the USAF I'll have the money to go to Full Sail for college. I'm not going out on loans, becuase things like that may possibly hurt you in the end. I know a few buddies that backed out from what they truely wanted to do and mainly becuase of video games. One of my friends back out from going in the Air Force becuase the PS3 is comming out the month he gets shipped off. We was suposed to go together (I would have been a little late of course), but looks like I'll head there alone.
And you know, I will miss a lot of fun, but it will always be waiting for me. My title as a ninja is not to be feared. My clan supports me on that. I still got to pick what I want to do in the Air Force and get more infomation, but this is what I really want to do.
I must admit, when I think about all of this. It reminds me of
Crazy Maze by Des'Ree (If you ever seen Nothing to Lose, you should know the soft song). I'm trying not to sound, ya know all bad ass, but I really want to stand up and walk in this direction to be preparied what I'm about to face. I know I will get a lot of exp and gold from this and quite possibly lvl up in 1if3
.
So, I just wanted to post this, becuase I'm going to try to be here with the community when that time comes. If I don't, then I don't, but I dout this site can get rid of Rikimaru X without a fight. I care about all of you important members (not the trolls
) and newbies.
Anyway, enough of that. Anyone have any tips, knowledge, or advice for/about the USARF?

I know a guy on the Thunderbirds
w00t! A ninja joining the Air Force!
I got no tips for you buddy, since I don't have the decent knowledge of the US military you would want, and that I don't have any interest in it, but I'll just give you my best wishes.
*whispers* I hear if you're REALLY good, they'll move you to Japan and you'll be upgraded to Gundam Pilot.
This siggy is CGI that my cousin made in 4 hours.
Don't sign on for more than 4 years, although I'm not sure how the reserves work...I have a friend who just finished the Marine Corps, and he was ready to come back after 4 years.
Another friend of mine got tricked into signing 6 with the Navy, and he still has 3 to go and it sucks.
If it's like the reserves I know, you go once a month for a weekend? If that's the case, just be careful, cause you'll be the first to go if shit hits the fan.

*thinks of Zone of the Enders*
Now, that will be badass!

as for general military knowledge. If it ain't in writing with a signature, don't trust it. (just because your recruiter says stuff, don't believe it unless it's in the contract)

Make sure to use lightweight materials and a headband, I cant have my favorite ninja being to heavy when it counts.
Good luck.
Yeah your right though.

1) The key stays in the lock when the lock is open.
2) Check your race at the door. Once you join your blue.
3) Baby pin your bedsheets to the frame before your go to sleep. Its a tight fit when you sleep but you will never have to make your bed again.
4) Good Luck! You will have a blast. I thought basic training was fun and once you get past that tech school is even better and then you are in.
Almost forgot to tell you "Start as a team and finish as a team"
Volunteer to be the FIRE MONITOR(basically you take out the trash at night, but so do the other flights and if your lucky you will get a female flight next to you and you can talk to them at night) its a cake job and then you don't have to get any of the shitty jobs.
In America I have bad teeth. If I lived in England my teeth would be perfect.
just to be clear, I hope you aren't expecting to fly aircraft by joining the air force.
Oh I know hazmats. We are just making jokes. I might want to be a gunner on a helicopter...forgot what career name was that. I still don't know.
Ninjas don't peel potatos...but...I know if I can shave 50 whole potatos in 5 seconds, they wll put me to work.

in the great words of Lawrence from office space.
"watch out for the corn hole bud"
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
Wow, I wish my basic training was even remotely like that. I was stuck with 50 other guys on my floor (non-coed) for 4 months. Had to wear those god awful BCG's, and the fun really did not start until i got to set off my first blocks of C4. Must be an Army thing.
You have not bitten the bullet yet but I will be the first to say "welcome to the military." It's not the easiest road in life but it's definatley the road less taken (and far more interesting). Reserves is a good choice, I myself, am active duty and sometimes wish I would have done the reserves thing (stay at home, get the schooling taken care of).
A few tip's for basic training (take in mind different branches of the military = different boot camps): Like the above poster said "Check your race at the door." Do not sweat the small stuff, being with the same people every waking hour for a few month's can get a little edgy. Do not get an attitude with the ones appointed over you (it will come back at you three fold lol). Boot camp can be rough, but it's all in what you make of it. If you come at it with a bad attitude, it's going to suck. If you take it as a new challenge you can do very well, and discover things you thought you would never be able to do (both physically and mentally). I could share a few of my experiences with you all from my boot camp but I wouldn't want to scare away possible future recruits lol.
Also, you said you got what, 9 months? Do yourself a favor and get to that gym, and start running on a regular basis. No matter how good of shape you think you are in, all it can do is help in the long run. I prepped for a about 2 months and I remember wishing I would have started sooner. I know quite a few guys that lost 40-60 pounds in the course of 4 months. Myself, not being overweight, actually gained 15-20 pounds in that 4 months. For the Army, the Physical Training tests are based on pushups, sit-ups, and 2 mile run time, I'm not sure how the Air Force does their PT tests but the sooner you get good at these the better off you are.
PS. You will learn how to fold the nicest bed sheets ever!
Have fun and good luck.
I've got one tip for you Riki.
Prepare for death, visit your family, be nice to everyone you know so they can have a nice memory of you incase death takes you.
LMAO That was funny
Damn byotch dat aint no friggn moon fool, dat be a friggn space station byotch.

Also, you said you got what, 9 months? Well 9 months till I be with this girl that loves me, but I'm getting basic training and stuff over with before 9 months. A great challenge. Do yourself a favor and get to that gym, and start running on a regular basis. No matter how good of shape you think you are in, all it can do is help in the long run. I go to the gym about once or twice a week for a few hours but I know I need more. I need to start running more.
PS. You will learn how to fold the nicest bed sheets ever! ...I can't even fold a T-Shirt right man.
Have fun and good luck. I'll try man.
Thanks you two. Being from your experience, it has really given me even more courage to take on basic training. Seabass, such great quotes:
"Check your race at the door. Once you join your blue." Can't throw the ninja card here.
Yeah, I think I'm ready for this. I'm going to start getting my mind together next week.
