AC2 IS GOOD COME BACK!!!

I bought AC2 when it came out and well i loved the grafics but.... well the bugs in the game
and other things made me turn away and after a month i got rid of my subscription.
Well im reactiaving my account and getting backin in AC2 to support Turbine in trying to turn this game around. and to the news on meny meny websites this game is alot better.
Usualy players of a MMORPG bang something they dont like on the fourms. like swg and other games.
Well I havent run itno 1 bad post on all the AC2 fourms ive visted.
Sooo if your looking to get back into AC2 or get into it for the first time make sure youve got a computer that can handel those wonderful grafics and Help bump up those server populations.
After 1 or 2 servers start getting up into the 800+'s people will start flooding in =D
Everyone must help spread the word about how AC2 had turned around. we need to get those pops back up so AC2 becomes even better!!!!

This game is GREAT!
They have finally started to turn this game around and I cant WAIT for the new stuf coming in the next couple months:
-Housing
-New Crafting System
-Player Vendors
-Banks
-"Treasure Maps"
-PvP and Kingdom Vs Kingdom Content and new Dynamics
Much much more ....one of the Best things I can say about this game is that it has MONTHLY changes. I am not talking about Patches and Changes that fix bugs and issues in the game I am talking about Monthly changes that ADD new content, New stories and lore and much much more.
Overall great game come check it out if you havnt
Monthly additions are the best feature any MMORPG can have. Ppl from AC2 are usually leaving work early on patch days

Why do we need to feel like dis-ing another mans game? I have played STG, AC1 and 2, EQ, and many more. They are all fun!!!! Play games for fun. Is there boredom? Nope....get with a good allegiance and there is SO many unique quests now, there is an unlimited amount of things to do.
AC2 is MORE FUN than any other game I have played...oh and every month it get EVEN MORE FUN!

I have to agree with the positive posts ...
I started AC2 as my first expolration into MMORPG's, and during my time with AC2 I have played Horizons (treadmill far too early) and Lineage 2 (Korean Beta) ... so although my experience isn;t as vast as some on these boards, it still takes a lot to keep me interested enough to play for 3+ hours every night, 6 or 7 nights per week.
My total game time to date must be about 1200 hours in AC2, and there is still loads of new content I haven't done yet. I don't know how many games can offer this type of gameplay, without too much repetition which makes things boring - and without ending up as a demi-god because of your status/skills. I can die as easily now as I did when I first played the game (if I am against the higher level mobs).
The game now offers players to reach level 150, needing trillions of XP to get there ... the highest players are currently in the early 60's with about 10 billion XP and this involved a fair amount of power-levelling and intensive hunting. There is a huge future for this game,and as new content is added each and every month (numerous new mobs, dungeons, lore, stories, quests landmasses etc).
As a continually growing and exciting MMORPG this one get my thumbs up, and it looks like keeping me addicted for a long time yet.
If you haven't tried it, you should ... if you tried it months ago, try it again!

I left AC2 then came back then left sort of again. The planned updates are excited. Looks like they will add some of the things I like about Horizons (consign venders, maybe a better craft system,etc).
The downside is the time it will take to see all this stuff and with EQ2 around the corner, don't know.
My accounts are still active so perhaps I will log in again to see what's going on.
Too bad Turbine did not have full control from the start. M$oft really messed things up.

I agree with all that´s said before....but i´ve played last year february.....and bugs and lags forced me to quit....now i would like to give it a second look ( a lot of good new things was heard about this game....)
BUT:
my account is not reactivateable!!!! After an hour of updating..... ( i´ve got the original) i failed to join in.
I´ve called the hotline and a warm and friendly voice said to me i would have to buy the game again!!!!!
That is as they dont want to have my monthly fee....unbelievable....<--------

I also beta'ed and then bought AC2 on release. Was huge into pvp and into a really great order guild. We actually had even more player involvement being a pvp order guild with many events with and against other guilds. Even with the increased level of player interaction I couldn't get by the eventual void that was AC2. After a point it becomes so meaningless that its painful realizing you put all this energy into a character that is really going no where in a world that is so sterile.
Despite all that I am seriously considering the 15 free days and maybe even a month or two of subscription while I wait for CoH and WoW or whatever else is coming out. I hold no illusions that AC2 will keep my interst beyond that. If it does then good job turbine, but you are going to have to REALLY convince me once im in there not to turn my back on AC2 forever.

I've been on Demo/Beta Fever since I left SWG. I played EQ for 2+ years and dropped it early since I got into the SWG Beta. I've also played/Betad DAoC/AO/Shadowbane/Horizons/E&B to name a few. I know what's good and what's bad and I've predicted the success and demise of many games....
I believe my background give me the right to say that AC2 is the worst MMORPG I've ever seen! I'd rather go back and play AO 5 days after it's release than this horrible, unimaginative, one dimensional game. I mean come on, 3 races? 3 basic skills? Have you seen the facial textures... Ugh. I can't even finish this post I want nothing to do with this game....
P.S. they are combining servers, meaning that are cutting back since there are no players!

They did that about half a year ago. Seems that we have another whiner on this forum who does not know what state AC2 is in currently.
3 races. yes
3 basic skills. no. There are 3 magic skill trees, 3 melee skill trees and 3 missile skill trees per race (plus hero and special skills). You can combine skills how you want, making quite a lot of possible character templates.

And you're totally wrong about classes. Yes there are 3 races, yes there are 3 basic skill trees but there are also 2 specialization trees for each basic tree. That makes 3*3*2=18 different classes. And these classes are very diverse. Beside that you can also make hybrid classes like melee/elementalist, missile/invoker, melee/sage, missile/enchanter, missile/healer.... So you have quite many different options.
About graphics; many ppl are praising AC2 graphics and I also like it a lot. But wheteher someone likes graphics or not is always a matter of personal opinion. So there's no point arguing over that. Like they say; Beauty is in the eyes of beholder

It say it have New server problem or something and say: Bad IP adress or something.
I have no idea what it mean. Hehe a 1.2 hour download to get there... *grin*
I am no tech, in fact, I have 0 computer skills hehe! Windows is for folks like me! *grin*
I play EQ and DAoC fine, my video card didnt support FFXI but I was done with that very painfull installation...and here I am jammed!
EDIT: I will NOT recommend the free trial no matter what, they are wasting my time! I cant try anything but the download system of Microsoft, it pretty much lack! But...I guess I should have expect techs issues with something made by Microsoft...at this rate the 15 days trials will be over and I will not have try it at all, LOL. So good for AC2 so far, will try more tomorrow but I am SO not going to play with whatever folders, I click, no more!
Unless they state clear stuff on how to do what, a page with PORTS info dont tell me what to do...

I suggest you try free trial again. It's quite straight forward to install and on the link below is also some support and solutions for potential problems:

It is jam there in some kind of loop.
But I did bypass and click on next when it was jammed and not finding my IP address for some reasons I cant understand, and then it say my PORTS need to be activated or whatever, but they are all activated.
Why cant it be simple? Even FF Xi was simpler then that, and I crash when I try to start my toon after creating it, clearly mean my video card dont support it even if it should.
But support EQ and DAoC easily. And I meet all requirements. 
I will try to uninstall and install anew, but if it is to hard to figure, I will just give up.
EDIT: (I re-install everything) I wont click next this time...it say:
Failed to resolve the News Server domain name (reason: bad IP adress).
This is during the check to see if my system can support the game. High speed connection cant be an issue.
*shrug* I have no idea what this mean and since I dont use any firewall and have a high speed connection, I doubt anything can be closed or whatever. (I know I should use 1, but I dont for the very obvious reason I cant handle much stuff, imagine the troubles I will get with such stuff in top of it, hehehe) I see it pass the video check before althought, and I know my connection work fine, hehe, I play to many games without troubles.
Just no idea here on what I need to do, and the FAQ and help and whatever dont cover this(unless I miss it?).
Anyway, I dont try anything more alone on this, if it dont work, *shrug* it dont work. Banging on the keyboard would be my next step of logical action so I will just stop there.
