Ex-gay therapist Richard Cohen
What a freakin' joke! There is a group like this in the city I live in and it's funny to see the people go in to only show up in the gay community again a year or so later. I have friends who have gone through this as well, only to end up really hurt and even more confused in the end. One who actually tried to kill himself.
By the way, I was never abused as a child. I came from a normal two parent family with a strong dad and passive mother. My dad had no problems hugging us or telling us he loves us.
Yet somehow, I turned out gay. Go fu**ing figure...
I guess if I would have hit a pile of pillows with a tennis racket I'd be all better?

What the hell kinda therapy does he do? Make you look at ugly naked men? Seriously, it's like getting therapy for being blond, or therapy for lefties (left-handers), it's just not something you need to give out therapy for. You don't "fix" homosexuals, that's the way they are and that's the way they should be accepted. Some people are gay just like some people are good artists, that's just the way it goes sometimes. I'm not trying to be offensive to gay people, I have a few homosexual friends myself. It's just, how stupid can Richard Cohen be to try to "fix" all the gays? Many gays are happy, they shouldn't be pressured into a "cure."

I think he only missed one of my High School football games because he was sick. But he came to every one of the basketball games.

But back on topic. It is my opinion that it is human nature to be attracted to the opposite sex. So I beleive that everyone is born straight, but certain things can happen in a persons life to sway them the other way. I don't beleive all this "I was born this way so accept me" buisness.
I have known many gay people and everyone of them has had certain things in common that lead me to beleive that they simply chose this path. But I will not go into detail, because I don't want to offend anyone unintentionally.
