myself, i play auto assault.

yes, i know, no content. but the core gameplay is cool!

the ability to run over people on foot and have them literaly BURST on the front of your car cannot be denied.

also many deals at gamestop etc. to get the game for free. a good interim game untill something else comes out.

I'm in UO. I kept meaning to look at AA again but even when they mailed me saying I had a free 7-day pass, I still didn't bother installing the thing... kinda been busy recently though.

EVE Online, until a better science fiction MMO is released.

    EQ2, SWG, and Battlefront 2.

Went ahead and got the Station Access for the EQ2 bonuses, and decided to check SWG, nothing to loose.

Population dosent seem as bad as these people claim. Last night at 7PM EST the cantina in Eisley was packed, lots of dueling infront of the starport, /who pulled up 32 and truncuated. And this is on Shadowfire. Give me a few to upload the screenshot to photobucket, and ill edit my post.

**EDIT** Here is the pic, search is in the chatlog.

Dont confuse this with me saying the game has as many players as it did during Pre-Cu, because im not. The only place ive been to so far is Eisley, and where my houses once were, and my wifes still are, on Lok. Half of our Empire still stands.

    AO mostly...

Its free to play and is the only decent ground based Sci Fi mmo out in my opinion anyway.

I've been game hopping. I resubbed to all the games I quit at the height of my SWG days, and now I'm down to only one... WoW.

I hated it for a really long time, but I'm pretty excited about the upcoming changes to PvP, the Dreanei are gonna rock in the expansion, and there really isn't anything else out there with that much polish and shine.

    City of Heroes/Villains primarily.

I pop my head in on games I've held subscriptions to in the past, just to see where they're going. (It also reminds me why I left in the first place...) For the most part, I follow people I know, rather than games.

CoX - it isn't SWG, but it's all I've found that even begins to hold my attention......................

Hell, I may have to go back to RTS if MMOs keep sucking like a porn starlet..................

Sad part for me is everyone I knew got so sick of the BS from every publisher/company that they all no longer play games.

This is probably sad to admit but... I got my first *very own* computer in 1982 and it was a C64.  I loved games always have and I've loved computer games since I had one.  After I played UO back in 1997 I've had a very hard time playing any non mmo.

However, its gotten to the point that every game I enjoyed was ruined.

I still try to play DAoC but its like playing Diablo on Battlenet AND paying 15 bucks a month.  Surrounded by a bunch of idiots that are exploiting or running whatever hack mythic hasn't banned them for yet or fixed.  Its really turned into imho the most pathetic MMO out there.  Which is why I've pretty much written off WAR (cuz mythic geezus...)

I hated EA for what they turned UO into and closing down E&B... but seriously I've never seen such stupid crap allowed in a game as DAoC...  LIke I said I feel like I'm on battlenet back in the D1 days.

I played EQ2 but felt like every character I played was nerfed to stupidness.

I mean at some point when you invest a long period of time into a character it should feel stronger or something positive.  You shouldn't put a year into something to end up with less than you had.  That's counter productive to wanting to invest time (in my opinion).

I try to play WoW and I actually feel that at least Blizzard tries to improve the classes.. yet it just doesn't hold my interest.

Actually I've never stuck with any level based game for long.  I may reactivate but I just cancel soon after.

    So....

    I cancelled DAoC... cancelled EQ2.. cancelled Coh/cov

and WoW was shut off a few weeks ago.

I think I will just not play any MMO's for a while.

Pretty much I think I'm waiting to see what Bio-Ware has going and if it seems like it might not suck.

I don't really have high hopes for any MMO... it seems based on what the games are being turned into lately.. I'm just not a market segment they want.

So as I say this is just my opinion but I feel like I lost what was a pretty fun hobby.  Must be time to go back to tweaking cars.

sorry for the ramble lol.. I've actually been quite ah rabid since they ruined swg... and I just can't find any game I enjoy.

I poped around through a few other games after SWG but I've settled into Ryzom now. The skill system as well as the combat, crafting and harvesting systems suit me.

I used to play that game all the time before SWG lol.  I was the first to figure out how to make custom online multiplayer maps for that game

Still with wow , one of the things i discovered besides side proffessions is the ability to change talent trees can give you a differenet perspective on the game.
Even if you get truely broke from bad after patch lag days there's always gathering you can do to get back on your feet.
Went ahead and tried another beata, but realized at this time i am pretty spoiiled. I want things to work and look good, art scaled corretly in game  and   have some diversity.
I have a feeling that it will be a long time before any other offering as far as new releases will run as smoothly as wow or be as polished on release.
So with that in mind look forward to wii release and hang with singel player games for a while. It may be 5+ years before we see another mmorpg new and different again, done even remotely well.

I thought that at first, too. But, go any other city in the game, and chances are you won't see a soul.

At the moment, I'm playing EVE. Don't really like the game, but I won one of those 60 day cards off of this site.
