Guild Wars in most ppl's view is better than WoW. But WoW is owning Guild Wars in terms of profit. 4 milion subscribers multiplied by 15 equals 60 million dollars in profit every month. Also Theres more ppl playing WoW than GW

I don't know where you want to go or on what pillar you are leaning towards. Also since imho GuildWars PvP is better (guild vs guild, 1vs1 & 4vs4 has issues) & PvE in WoW is much better its not too impossible that people have them both.
I started out with Guild Wars, and i loved it (it wasn't my first MMO, tho my first was one of those Korean type grind em ups.)
But then a m8 told me about WoW, i tried it, and liked it better than Guild Wars, but i still have Guild Wars account for when WoW is down, or when i get tired of leveling.
cause lets be honest GW pvp > WOW pvp, but WOW content > GW content.
WOW= is more no living....jou do months too get a good lvl ...
GW=is more thinking and i like it this way jou dont just start pvping and win because u a high lvl
its very easy too get lvl 20 in gw [lvl max cap] after that its still fun u keap on making money prove u self good in pvp make a good guild [guild systeem is very good in guild wars] and it doesent get fast boring at GW u depend on u team mates so i think GW is lot more social
this is more a topic for which game u wanna buy. and on my opinion u can better take GW WOW is too much money !

Come on Dura, be nice to the kid. He's upset that mommy and daddy won't pay for WoW anymore.
But HomieSlice - We catch you drift. You don't like GW. Please, move along and do something constructive with your time. You're comparing Apples and Oranges. They're two entirely different games. Guild Wars doesn't have the operating costs that WoW has. Can you even imagine how much Blizzard has to pay for their internet connection. I'll guarantee you they're not using that $13/month DSL.
So, if 'Ya Heard' us all here, just take it with a grain of salt, uninstall GW from your computer, and go back to playing Diablo 2.

Here are some interesting characteristic of WoW devotees:
1. Prone to online game addicition
2. Less tatical/stratgical adopt
3. Less creative
4. Good at repetitive tasks.
WoW and Guild wars are two different games that cater to two different audiances. WoW caters to those that have plenty of time on their hands and like a game easy. (time consuming when you hit 60, but easy none the less). Guild Wars is aimed towards those who like Orginized PvP or enjoy doing missions that do take a relative ammount of skill to complete.
So again, different audiances mate. I realy don't see why you are comparing the two, but then again you'd probaly compare WoW with half life.

And, my friend, how much exactly have you played it? Even if you haven't it's easy to see that Guild wars just isn't a cheap rip-off of WoW. (a game based off of endless raiding and grinding to 60).
It's easier to ignore trolls like Homieslice if you try to understand why they are the way they are.
Here is my guess
"He got caught cybering while playing WoW, so his parents stop paying for it as well as removed all tissue boxes from the room. This just left him with Guild Wars and a stuffed up "nose". Then I figure he was playing Guild Wars and joined in on a underwear party. Once again his parents walked in the room and caught him. He was completely inocent this time, socks on and everything. Sadly, his parents didn't believe him. Now, he is no longer allowed to play online games, and can only use the internet while his parents are in the room. Which explains why he is posting so much, as he can't play...
Of course he can't go around admitting this to everyone. So, instead he is saying GW SUXORS. Well buddy, I feel for you. We've all been there. Hang in tight, you'll be moved out of the house within the next 5-10 years, then you won't have to go over to your friends house in order to get your cyber chick fix. Just remember >80 of female avatars are played by guys... so choose your "women" wisely. But then again bi-sexualness is rapidlily increasing in the new generations so maybe you don't need to worry.

And to all you OTHER people that are giving Homie a hard time; TRY to show some understanding the kid has it hard.
(And that is how you get rid or any annoyence a troller is causing you mentally. Kinda the same as the advice public speakers give when they say just picture everyone in their underware.)
Maybe now this post will come to and end. Other wise I suggest everyone else that is annoyed by Homie follows suit and offer your guess as to why he keeps trolling the forums. I'm sure if we put are heads together we'll be able to figure it out or drive him away (as we get close to the truth).

WoW has a big name, big brand and history. That is what sold the game as it was many many years in the making with all the previous Warcraft branded titles that every dick jane and spot know about. That is where its success lies.. its hype and advertising is with the brand. Not that its because its a better or worse game than GW is. Period.
Yup good up Seph. Their long history def. helps Blizz alot.
Anyways, personally I think GuildWars is better. I enjoy their visuals, battle system and that everything revovles around skills.
This is why WoW owns all MMORPGs on the market in terms of profit.

I saw this thread being started everywhere, i even started one when i first bought GW back in Feb this year, but i didn't go on saying .. "this game sucks" (whatever that game is), i respect that other people like a certain type of games, like some people like watching underground movie, it's taste.
Now, look at my sig, u'll see that i played GW AND EQII for nearly 600 hours each, think about it for a minute, y would someone buy 2 parts of a game that has NO monthly fee, and at the same time buy yet another game that he pays a monthly for it, simple ... TOTALLY different play styles, someone here explained it already, even 2 i think, if u want to compare u could simply say ... "EQII sucks, WoW rules, oh yeah", lol, that's u not me :P, anyway, don't compare an MMORPG to an Instance Based RPG game.
From what i saw so far, EQII, and the like, r VERY grind and level based, which sucks sometimes and makes the game look SO easy, but still, i love how those games eat ur time away, sometimes i need this time sink, and sometimes i have no time and need a quick getaway, so i look at a Strategy and SKILL based game (btw, i don't PvP in GW because i suck at it, but i still love that game) and go play a mission or 2 that will take no time at all and then close the game, i can't remember one time that i opened EQII and stayed for less than 12 hours straight, it's super addictive, GW is too, but u can play it for a couple of hours and have fun and then close it and go do something else.
But anyway, that's just my opinion afterall, maybe i'm wrong and maybe not, and as it's an opinion i shouldn't be either

note: i tried WoW, but i really don't know y people like it, well, each has his taste, maybe there's something to it that makes 4M people addicted, but not me anyway, and maybe the other side say the same thing about EQII players.
note 2 and 3 and 4: over 99.99% (ehm, that's 100% :P) of female chr players r males, don't be fooled and follow the dark path my friend
