    No! Men are not pigs!!!

This guy in the picture is a doctor and he is checking this lady for breast cancer!  If you notice the picture well you will see that he hands to her a loose button of her skirt! How nice!

Let's be serious however, There are no girls playing MMORPGs. MMOs are a mens world

All MMorpg players are men that have Long beards, moustaches and wooden PC's

Wives of MMorpgs' players are Women (well some times). They clean and reboot the Pc's a little before their sweet husband comes home, tired from work, ready to play his favourite MMo.

If you read the EULAs of all MMorpgs you will see that they do not allow women to play because they know that computers are very bad for a woman's health.

    How lovely!

Way to know the player is really girl:

"No, I'm 200lbs guy called Bubba"

Way to know the player is really a guy:

"Yes! Tee hee, Would handsome stud like you give cutiepie me some gold? *eyes flutter*"

After proudly skipping several pages of undisputable evidences that there is actually girls who are sacrificing their valuable time to complete waste of time games - MMORPGs, I will quote these immortal words from early City of Heroes forums:

"Welcome to the Internet, where guys are guys, girls are guys and kids are FBI!"

Unfortunately I have lost orginal sources link somewhere... but it was related to another immortal discussion why guys are playing with female characters...

Who was it again that said: "Those who can't think, quote."

Which then again, is a quote, so who am I to judge .

I'm never one to correct anyone but this was beyond ironic so I couldn't help myself, especially comming from someone who's trying to establish themselves superior to me.

BTW, way to represent your gender, good job .

I predict that you will have to do the household yourself.

Plenty of girls/women play MMO's... both my wife and daughter play.

If you're truely curious about it there are websites that have extensive data on the population trends of MMORPG's (and gaming in general)

Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Fortunately I wasn't demeaning half the world's population whilst I made my mistake but yeah... go figure, irony! Oh well, that's why I never correct anyone =). Someone with English as a 3rd language should know better.

    Good catch though .

Hmmm... I was just making a pun on Irony/Ironing and it being women's work, I don't think there was a mistake.

Look at "couldn't" in your quote, should be that much more amusing for you aftwards :). I did get the pun, I just didn't think it was funny.

Oh come on...a thread like this pops up about once every two weeks or so, and time and time again we female gamers must prove our existance.   Are there guys out there that are really so stupid as to think that there are no females that like playing computer and console games?

So, the question often comes up from devs. What features of MMORPGS attract women? There may not be any unique feature. I was just curious.

I know its not the scantily clad female avatars that make you buy that box..

I buy em because.. they are fun :O

Same reason men buy em... for an escape, entertainment, a challenge.

My B/f likes those cutsey asian MMOs lol go figure.

For me, its the same reason us for most peeps playing I guess. Good gameplay, good fighting & crafting system. Just the normal stuff. And erm, it does help when the avatars look nice tbh.

What features do women like in a mmorp apart from what our male counterparts like?    I dont know if there are any aspects in games that were put there specifically to attract women gamers.

I would say that cool clothes and a good (purposefull) guild system would be important to me as a female who likes the social aspect of the game.  But, my husband likes a good guild system and cool clothes for his characters too.

I can tell you a couple things I havent seen yet in a mmorpg that, as a girl, I would be interested in.

1.) toons that can have long flowing hair.  And an option to change my do whenever I want.

2.) changable aparal.  Depending on my mood.  Nothing is worse than being stuck wearing a lame outfit becasue it has good stats. (but Probably guys think this way too.)

3.) I would like to be able to design armor, trinkets and jewelry as a crafting profession.  Obviously they would have to  make this profession comply to the lore but man that would rock!

there you have it.  Disclaimer: I dont pretend to speak for my whole gender either.

Dont go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first. (Mark Twain)
