I really do apriciate it. But as we all know versions of this game change day to day month to month or even each publish.
Heck, I have seen the game get a 2 week warning and change overnight.. so anything could happen. (based on facts and history of course)
(OH) and also, as we know this is a MMO (by opinion) so this can change at anytime, you or I have no control over that. I may have some standards, but I have to think each person in life does, so at anytime anything could happen I guess based on all things being relative.

I have a few questions then. If a current player does not like current game, will they be allowed to say so here? Will they have to somehow prove that they are subscribers to SWG? How can you truly prove that, anyone can look at their boards and pick someone with few posts and say that they are the same?
As a subscriber to these forums, my opinion should matter to MMORPG.com. If they chase away their subscribers, they lose the number of pageviews they receive and they lose the advertising revenue earned by people clicking on their advertisements. I stated my concern to the fact that I would appreciate a sticky being placed to clarify the situation here, as I think many people are interpreting their own views on it and possibly reporting posts that shouldn't be reported.
I also think a sticky is necessary because people may not truly read the very little post beside the link coming into the board here.

Of course a current player can say they don't like the game. Hell, I play the game but there is plenty I don't like about it. I see I understand so you come in here to basically give your own slate on things so that others are also kept informed about the state of the game as you see it, I understand. So from that, one is able to, and allowed to go over to the SWG Refuge section and basically report about improvements in the game, talk about how the game is getting better, how there are less bugs in the game now then before and more are continuing to be fixed, able to post and talk about more good content being added into the game, and also post information from SOE employees about improvements ion the game, and also post about people in the gaming industry who see SWG beginning to improve and get better. Excellent, now I understand how the two forums work, however I do not see why there was a separation then, since now all we got is basically two general forums with two different names instead of just one as we did before. Bring it on down now.

I'm not speaking for the whole, but what I say makes perfect sense I think. Just create one thread for all your facts and don't post these facts on every single thread made that discusses how much they like the NGE or how much they think it is better than the previous games. Make sure the thread is labeled where any dumb person will know that that is where they go for factual quotes. I for one would not hate you for doing that and keeping your thread bumped to the first page (not the top).
But to keep this fair, why don't you also quote all the statements that Smed and previous Devs made about the Pre-CU being a failure and the CU also being a failure? That way they can get the full picture of the game. It seems biased only to post the quotes that damn the NGE, while there were many that damned the old game also.
Also, last but not least, if you leave your opinion and your interpretation out of it and only post the quotes, I see nothing wrong with this. I still don't think you should hi-jack every nice thread about the NGE and post these quotes in it though. It is antagonizing to do so and I think you know that. You know it would only piss off people more than it would help anyone. That is why I think creating a seperate thread for it and keeping it bumped to the front page is fair.

but what if the nice things are lies? or misleading? or counter to what the peolpe MAKING and MANAGING the game are saying?
does a person who is looking for information want the real stuff or the fluff? i would think by telling them the truth up front they would go into the game with open eyes and not get feel completly mislead 15 mins after they log into the game. You still cant see a single SS or movie on the OFFICAL SWG site that was taken since NGE . its all pre-nge footage. Not only that half the SS's are of things that DO NOT EXIST OR NEVER EXISTED in the game ever .. in any form. The TV commercials ran footage form some OTHER game because the races used are not and never have been in SWG.

Going off of past experience with this forum community and this topic, I would say it is not a good idea to allow your input. The Vets input is usually heavily biased with exaggerated negative feedback about the game. Some of the best advice has been by those who currently play and tell the bad with the good. On this forum, it is usually biased one way or the other, with the Vets exaggerating the most. How many good reviews will it take to combat one exaggerated bad review? Now, how many Vets hate the game on this forum compared to those that still play the game? Now tell me if it is fair for the Vets to silence the NGE players on this forum every time they say something is good, when it infact is good in their opinion?
For example: A common question is "How is the population?" The current gamers say that it is sparce with heavier concentration in Mos Eisley, Restuss, Mustafar, and the PvP bases. The Vets would just say it is dead. Most people asking that question are not asking for a comparison to the Pre-NGE, but the Vets give it anyways, which isn't right. NGE needs to be judged on its own merits, not by a comparison to the Pre-NGE game. This is why I feel a Vets input should be heavily watched compared to a NGEers input. Vets are on a crusade to see SOE fail with SWG, while NGEers, just tell it how it is in their in-game experiences.

I think you missed his comments before hand. But that is ok... I know that person. As he is not respectful sorry that I cannot show him the same. It is what it is, simply put. This also pertains nothing to the game and really should not be brought up here actually. His thougths of someone else is the least of a concearn let alone mine trust me on that. As far as respect goes, I base that on actions done... or action in general. Not just a title. But thats me and that is for another thread I think.

I played this game once or twice already with people here, you of all people will not get that respect to do the same for you as I did for them, proof screen shots, time spent etc. As I said, there is other cross issues that was brought to light to me. I cannot be part of one thing and do some things in a certain matter. It is that simple, no need to worry your little head about it sport, although I do apriciate the time given to do so.
A simple statement of "A conflict of intrests" would cover this issue at this time. Just go worry about your NGE game, that should keep you busy. Let people do thier own thinking though, it's fair that way.

Questions like your example are relative , for some 15 is alot, others it takes 75 ... a vet saying "you might see 20 people total online in a given play sessiom as opposed to the hundreds you used to see" is as relavant as saying "its alot of people if you dont ever leave the starting city or theed." How do you know what they want anymore than a vet does? and "sparse" and "dead" are semantics ,you just want to control how the same info is presented why does a NGEer feel they have to spin every answer for it to be appealing? doesnt that say more about the game than the actual answer?
as for we should be watched ... alot of vets worth listening to has always said " this is how we feel , you need to try it and see for yourself " I say that everytime someone says should i try it? but im also going to offer reasons why you shouldnt try it afterwards.
the difference is vets dont say its sparkling goodness when even the people who manage and make the game say its not period -(without spin)- The man in charge of NGE says its a failure. not much more can be said there, not much way to spin it, a NGEer wont admit it was even said tho for some reason, thats a difference betweena vet and NGEer we have no reason to lie about it, we are not spending money there anymore and if the new person doesnt join it doesnt affect us , tho you lose a player. and come on the game is so good there is no shortage of players? right ?

I really do apriciate it. But as we all know versions of this game change day to day month to month or even each publish.
Heck, I have seen the game get a 2 week warning and change overnight.. so anything could happen. (based on facts and history of course)
(OH) and also, as we know this is a MMO (by opinion) so this can change at anytime, you or I have no control over that. I may have some standards, but I have to think each person in life does, so at anytime anything could happen I guess based on all things being relative.

I have a few questions then. If a current player does not like current game, will they be allowed to say so here? Will they have to somehow prove that they are subscribers to SWG? How can you truly prove that, anyone can look at their boards and pick someone with few posts and say that they are the same?
As a subscriber to these forums, my opinion should matter to MMORPG.com. If they chase away their subscribers, they lose the number of pageviews they receive and they lose the advertising revenue earned by people clicking on their advertisements. I stated my concern to the fact that I would appreciate a sticky being placed to clarify the situation here, as I think many people are interpreting their own views on it and possibly reporting posts that shouldn't be reported.
I also think a sticky is necessary because people may not truly read the very little post beside the link coming into the board here.
Edit: Corrected an error in your statement. The board lists current players and those interested, not this thread.
Of course a current player can say they don't like the game. Hell, I play the game but there is plenty I don't like about it. I see I understand so you come in here to basically give your own slate on things so that others are also kept informed about the state of the game as you see it, I understand. So from that, one is able to, and allowed to go over to the SWG Refuge section and basically report about improvements in the game, talk about how the game is getting better, how there are less bugs in the game now then before and more are continuing to be fixed, able to post and talk about more good content being added into the game, and also post information from SOE employees about improvements ion the game, and also post about people in the gaming industry who see SWG beginning to improve and get better. Excellent, now I understand how the two forums work, however I do not see why there was a separation then, since now all we got is basically two general forums with two different names instead of just one as we did before. Bring it on down now.

I'm not speaking for the whole, but what I say makes perfect sense I think. Just create one thread for all your facts and don't post these facts on every single thread made that discusses how much they like the NGE or how much they think it is better than the previous games. Make sure the thread is labeled where any dumb person will know that that is where they go for factual quotes. I for one would not hate you for doing that and keeping your thread bumped to the first page (not the top).
But to keep this fair, why don't you also quote all the statements that Smed and previous Devs made about the Pre-CU being a failure and the CU also being a failure? That way they can get the full picture of the game. It seems biased only to post the quotes that damn the NGE, while there were many that damned the old game also.

Going off of past experience with this forum community and this topic, I would say it is not a good idea to allow your input. The Vets input is usually heavily biased with exaggerated negative feedback about the game. Some of the best advice has been by those who currently play and tell the bad with the good. On this forum, it is usually biased one way or the other, with the Vets exaggerating the most. How many good reviews will it take to combat one exaggerated bad review? Now, how many Vets hate the game on this forum compared to those that still play the game? Now tell me if it is fair for the Vets to silence the NGE players on this forum every time they say something is good, when it infact is good in their opinion?
For example: A common question is "How is the population?" The current gamers say that it is sparce with heavier concentration in Mos Eisley, Restuss, Mustafar, and the PvP bases. The Vets would just say it is dead. Most people asking that question are not asking for a comparison to the Pre-NGE, but the Vets give it anyways, which isn't right. NGE needs to be judged on its own merits, not by a comparison to the Pre-NGE game. This is why I feel a Vets input should be heavily watched compared to a NGEers input. Vets are on a crusade to see SOE fail with SWG, while NGEers, just tell it how it is in their in-game experiences.

I think you missed his comments before hand. But that is ok... I know that person. As he is not respectful sorry that I cannot show him the same. It is what it is, simply put.
