What do you look for in a guy/girl?

I always thought that people's differentiations in preference regarding the opposite sex was pretty funny/interesting. Since I've never seen one of these threads, I thought I'd start one up. So, when you see some girl/guy and deside she/he is mega hot, what makes you think so? Or at least, what is the first thing you really notice, and what's the thing that has to be there for you to be interested.
I'm a face/legs guy. I really dig athletic girls, but the chestal region really isn't a huge deal to me. That is, unless there is something there that is just totally weird/wrong going on up there.

Definitely a boob guy. I mean, thats not the only thing I look for, but it is always a big plus. Also need a nice face, ass, and fat=turnoff.
I've noticed that in general, people are more attracted to those of their own race. Just an observation.
Personally I find that I look for tall girls, gotta be atleast taller than my chin (and I'm 6'3"). Also something I look for which I find other people don't as much, is the build. I like a girl with a good build, shoulders have to be wider than the waist.
Also very important, is I have to see a girl smile. When a girl smiles you just know.

It's pretty sad that the forums have gotten to the point where I actually want to thank a poster for including females in a question but anways... So yeah, thanks Cook for not forgeting the pinker side of the equation

For me with guys.
1) Sense of Humor. By far the most important thing, if a guy can make me laugh and smile, he's got my attention all the way. If he laughs easily and doesn't things to seriously, that's all included. As much as I want someone to make me laugh, I want to make sure they giggle too of course
2) Sincerety/Honesty. No bigger turn off then being lied to, being fed lines or being told just what you want to hear.
3) A Brain. Has nothing to do with being smart, but have an oppinion, be able to talk about things and have a personal view point, don't cave to every freaking I say just because I believe in it.
4) Backbone/Conviction. If you believe in something, believe in it. Have the guts to stand up for yourself, you don't have to be a tough guy but at the very least know what you know and don't back down if you think you have a good leg to stand on.
5) Open Mind. Close minded people kill me. I love everything about this world, there so much I don't even know but I love it because I don't know about it. A close minded guy is basically someone who doesn't even want to learn, refuses to see the other side of anything.

Yes, I'm pretty shallow most of the time.
A girl I would actually DATE and have as a GF. My tastes are very strict. If I can't see a wedding in the next couple years with her, then a relationship is pointless. She has to be sweet and clean, as well as physically attractive.

I'd say those are the most important features to me... I don't really have patience to have someone always hanging on me, or loose my privacy, thats what the independant is for... The others I think are pretty obvious...

But of course none of that matters if the guy is a jerk. They can look like just the guy I like, but if they're a jerk then I won't even consider them good looking anymore.
