Hey. I'm 47. I've been gaming for as long as I can remember. Once upon a time it was pinball, then it was pong and the Oregon trail, hand held football with little red blips, hundreds of quarters dumped into arcade games.... Then came the video game console. We were poor and couldn't afford Atari or ColecoVision but my grandfather wrangled me up an Intellivision, and I had friends who weren't so poor. Then came Nintendo... changed my life forever. I played just about every game I could get my hands on. Of course I had my favorites like Zelda, Metroid and Ultima, but there were so many others to enjoy. After that, I became a Playstation fan. Nintendo and I went our separate ways. PS2, 3 and 4, oh how I did adore. But now I'm debating between a PS4, an Xbox One S or an actual PC. They all have their pros a cons. Guess I still have a couple of months to decide while I wait with baited breath for Fallout 76.
I don't game much these days. I am often busy with work or creative pursuits but when Bethesda drops a Fallout title, I get a system and set aside a couple months of my life. Some might call it a waste of time but as a sign once said in Skyrim: "Its not a waste of time if you enjoy doing it". And I sure do. When they drop another Elder Scrolls or if another Portal comes out, I'll drop everything again, but otherwise, my gaming days are pretty much done. Of course when I'm an old man and can't get around so well in the real world, I'll have plenty of time for the virtual world again. Probably on acid.
