The Chosen One, the gamer that was promised!
Who the hell is this dude?
First of all a small intro, where I'm coming from...
My nickname is Piwi2point0 and guess what: I'm the second of his name.
I have been starting to play mmorpg's, since 2001. Guess what, I started with Runescape at launch.
Where the PKing in the wilderness caught my attention. Running into the wilderness gave me almost a heartattack back in the day. When you got killed and lost your stuff... O men my neighbours, could hear me rage by far.
Probably the reason why we had to move away from there. But to get back on topic. Played Runescape with my in-call network connection. Played a lot of other games, but there were not many MMORPG's back then. If I recall correctly I started to play MU Online. Loved the wings and shiny gear, but the grinds were endless. After that I played SilkRoad Online. D** that was fun, besides the hourless grinding for my NUKE Blader. The hard work payed off once trading goods with Caravans. Bandits had to think twice, before engaging again after the first try. Boy Boy, nostalgic it was. Also the droprate on rare gear was like buying a lottery. Nowadays they rain to frequent out of the sky.
Probably forgot about some of the MMORPGs I played. Well I remember that I started to play Runes of Magic.
I think it still has a hardcore community these days. Well I never returned to it, because it will only ruin my good old time. Runes of Magic was like the dungeon game for me, where I slacked off my schoolhomework for. Just to play that game endlessly. Moron I could hear you think, yes I was a sort of addicted gamer back then.
After Runes of Magic I had a period, where I didn't know what to keep playing. There were not many games that kept my attention. I tried a lot of them and well I didn't grow money on trees. At the age of 14 I started drinking and my eyes opened. Gaming wasn't everything or was it.
Okay here is a small tip: where do you think the word "player" comes from, whenever a girl said it?
Yeah, I could have been that inventor. Unfortanetly I was not, nevertheless I called myself Player One.
Okay, at some point I started to play WoW and I was like WOW I have been missing this the whole time and now it feels outdated. Yup after 7months of subscription I cancelled and it was time for another game Guild Wars(series). Hopping towards one another, in the end there was ESO. Played for a couple months and I was like, it's time for a New Generation MMORPG with a innovative gameplay system...
My gaming style through time
One of my favourit playing styles is being a heavy hitter (DD = Damage Dealer) and finish the kill. That satisfaction of that hard work coming to an end. It's almost like sex... but lets not go there. Damage Over Time builds, love them for PvP builds most of the time.
In my younger days I always went for tanker or healer, back then you had to team up otherwise your party gets A** KICKED. Everyone was a mage and tankers and decent healers were always short. Guess who sacrificed himself...
Nowadays I like Necromancers, because it makes me feel like a little puppeteer. Manipulation the death, who doesn't want that. Then again I'm sort of a "edge lord" and people hate me for it. Taking enough range to take on an enemy and keep enough distance to get dragged into being hardly damaged. Then I also like pulling flocks of mobs and end them all at once, while spamming the hell out of pots and make use of every available usefull buff as possible.
Than we have the NO-CLASS MMORPG's, HELL YEAH! This will bring me to my next BLOG Item.
