Why do you supposed you need three months free service? Did this change to a monthy subscription?

I'm a total MMORPG newbie and I liked it. It wasn't too hard to figure out how to get going and the quests were fun. I didn't like the get all the raw materials for your armor upgrade. There needs to be a way for someone to just buy the stuff …
